A client in a DV shelter has been approved for housing through Miriam's House. She is starting over with her toddler and with nothing. She has the lease signed for the home, but is still staying at the shelter as she has no furniture. She is requesting any furniture or kitchen appliances such as kitchen table set, air fryer, microwave. She is open to many different types of household items.

I am working with a Consumer who is blind and the primary caregiver of a newborn, a toddler, and a pre-teen. She is currently engaged with the Department of Rehabilitation. Due to her visual impairment, she has been advised that using a stroller presents significant safety challenges, as it prevents her from simultaneously using her white cane to navigate safely. Although she currently owns a double stroller, pushing it requires both hands, which compromises her ability to detect obstacles or changes in terrain. A wagon, which she can pull with one hand while using her cane with the other, has been identified as a safer and more effective mobility solution for outings with her younger children. Her newborn is approximately one month old, and her toddler is under the age of two. Any assistance in providing a suitable wagon to safely accommodate both children would be greatly appreciated. Example of a wagon that is needed is attached. It has a car seat adapter to hold the newborn until the child is older to go in the wagon.

I have a mother of an 11 month old child who is in need of a walker type toy to help promote walking for him. He is also in need of 12-18 month learning toys as well. Mom and Dad do not live together and neither one of them are working at this time. They do have a support system, but they are helping them with their child's basic necessities like formula/food, diapers, wipes and clothing. They do not have the ability to buy him toys that stimulate his learning.

The mom is not currently working due to health issues, and she is trying to find more functionally bedding for both children for the current limit space.

I am working with a Consumer who is a single mother dedicated to improving her financial stability and strengthening her relationship with her child. She has demonstrated significant progress in budgeting her income and maintaining positive parenting practices. Unfortunately, she recently encountered an unexpected and ongoing car repair issue that has become a financial burden. Despite her efforts, the problem with the vehicle remains unresolved, and the associated costs have impacted her ability to meet her financial obligations. As a result, she is currently $175 short of her rent for the month. Any partial or full assistance to help cover this shortfall would be greatly appreciated and would provide critical support as she continues working toward her goals.

Individual has had numerous on going medical issues and concerns coming up on 2 years now. he has been unable to work and with financial struggles with making rent, utilities, etc. He has been denied for county and state assistance due crazy reason for example the value of his assets which he only owns 1 car which is non drivable at the moment . We are asking for assistance in ensuring this gentleman is able to get to his appointments and paying his rent and utilities. This request is for a Summit family in need of some assistance. A single mom with 5 kids is moving into a new home. The purchase of the home along with expensive closing costs have made furnishing the home extremely difficult. In addition to the needs list, they could use bedding for each bed. This request is for a family with 3 children, one of the children is an adoptive placement. This family needs 6 dining chairs. Several of the families dining chairs have broken or are not safe for use. If you have used dining chairs you would like to donate or would like to purchase new ones, I know this family would greatly appreciate it.
