The referred family is requesting assistance obtaining furniture for their family. The mother and her four children are leaving an ongoing domestic violence relationship with the children’s father. The family has a restraining order in place.

The family resides in a 3 bedroom and 1.5-bathroom home. The home is not fully furnished, with one room being barren. Family is of limited means, as mother is unemployed and the sole caretaker of the children, which has made it difficult financially to replace the mattresses. The mother is requesting assistance in obtaining a queen-sized mattress, bed frame and if possible, a kitchen dining table and dresser would be appreciated. The mattress and bed frame are the family's priority items request. Family is willing to take donations from any organizations. The mother would be appreciative of any help and want to explore all options to make their children as comfortable as possible.

We are working with a 16 year old who is in foster care and is living with her adult sister, who is working towards getting Legal Guardianship. The adult sister also has two young children of her own. Family moved into a new apartment a month or so ago after experiencing an eviction and homelessness. Family has very few possessions and are in need of furniture to make their house a home and to provide comfort and stability to the kids. Apartment is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath. Through CarePortal and other community supports the family is slowly getting what they need! They are now settling into their new home and we are requesting a few additional items for the kitchen to settle them in.

Mother who recently came to the United States from Venezuela does not have necessary resources for her child including car seat or safe sleep arrangement. Father of the baby just started working locally and does not have the financial means to purchase all needed supplies at this time. Mother can also benefit from ANY additional baby supplies including diapers, wipes, and clothes. Mother delivered her first baby, a baby girl! The family is scheduled to leave the hospital on 4/4/25.

Single mom with a 2-year-old child that needs a 5-point harness car seat for safety. Child is climbing out of current car seat and mother does not have funds to obtain another car seat. Hope Closet Brunswick was contacted and there are not any car seats available at this time.

Our foster family of 7 with a baby on the way is in need of a meal train the week their baby is born (due date is May 3rd). We're hoping to have 5+ people sign up to each bring a large meal (10 servings) the week the baby is born. This will make a tremendous difference for this family as they transition into life with a newborn.
