Story
The client is a 33 yr old single male that is currently residing with the family of an acquaintance. The client has made mention that previously to the fires, he was a full time student, but the impact of the fires has halted that for him at the moment. He does not have a vehicle and has rather low income. Has been applying for housing programs, but so far has not had any success. Although he has applied for FEMA, it was declined, but he submitted an appeal and up until now has yet to hear anything back from them. He has mentioned that, because he doesn't really know the people he is currently living with, there is some tension between them, and he understands that because he is basically a stranger staying in their home, and the lack of luck in finding somewhere else or permanent housing, is causes a bit of a frustration. The client has mentioned that he lost just about everything since his home had been burned down to the ground. At the moment he is still looking for assistance of course with housing, but also clothing, transportation, food assistance, and has concerns with medical assistance, replacing furniture, and getting some assistance as a student. The request is to help the client with relieving that mental stress of housing, replacing the items he lost, and hopefully continuing going to school and helping him get back on his feet.
