A new foster placement is needing a twin size mattress for a child they just took placement of. The child came with a twin bed frame but no mattress. The family is borrowing a mattress from a friend until they can get it replaced.

A single mother of four is in need of furniture for her children after finally obtaining her own apartment. This mother has battled homelessness for three months after escaping an abusive relationship in Ohio, while simultaneously working, managing her needs as well as the needs of her four children with one being special needs. The children are in need of two sets of bunkbeds so that the children would no longer have to sleep on mattresses placed directly on the floor. The bunkbeds will also provide more room for the children to have space in their room for additional furniture including a dresser and television. The family is also in need of dressers for clothing that are currently still remaining in bags due to no drawers being present in the home to place them in. The family is also accepting of previously owned furniture.

AGAPE serves a teen in foster care; her father was not able to care for her during the Trial Home Visit and she is back in an AGAPE Foster Home. This teen wants to attend a summer camp at Barefoot Republic. The foster mother is a single parent and could use assistance in paying for the camp. Any funds towards this camp would be a huge help and blessing to this teen/foster mother.

I am reaching out on behalf of a young mother and her 3-year-old daughter who are in need of support. They recently moved to Colorado Springs and are starting over with very little. The mother and daughter have been sharing an air mattress, and the little one is in need of a bed of her own. It would make a huge difference in their lives. Youth is a male 20 year old participating in the Foster Youth in Transition Program. Youth is figuring out adulthood and his Food Stamps recently stopped which aided him and his girlfriend in order to afford groceries. Youth is in need of support so him and her are able to cook nutritious meals and are able to continue save money rather than eating out. A $200 vista gift card or walmart gift card will help youth obtain groceries.

The father of a family of five suddenly passed away without any life insurance. The family is not only mourning this profound loss but also finds itself in a financial crisis. In addition to funeral expenses, their one working vehicle is experiencing electrical issues and cannot be used until it is repaired. They also need to replace their oven.

This request is on behalf of a 17 year old male high school student. December 2024 the student was hospitalized for mental health issues. Student was released into his mother's custody 4 days after being admitted to the hospital. Once at home student was met with mixed reactions about the experience from various family members and was told that he was weak and needed to toughen up. Despite the lack of moral support the student has began to make progress in the right direction with the help of weekly therapy sessions and mentoring from the youth pastor at Crenshaw Christian Center. Attending summer camp would give this student a much needed break from his home life and an opportunity to find much needed support and encouragement among his peers. This young man has attended various college tours and wants to pursue occupational therapy upon high school graduation.

I am submitting this request on behalf of a 17 year old high school male that is currently staying at a friends house due to being evicted out of his former home. This student is the oldest of 4 siblings. Mom is staying in temporary housing with his younger siblings and is sending what little finances she has where the student is staying. The student would greatly benefit from attending summer camp and would help to relieve some of the financial burden on mom. Student's father is not actively involved in his life and attending summer camp will give the student access to positive male role models as he continues to navigate his life.
