Family sleeps on a sofa couch in the living room and has no bed otherwise. They have two children that need constant attention, and they have lots of needs where here money is limited for other items. There recent sofa couch has broken, and they have no funds to replace it. Mom has can't work as she is constantly with her children providing for their needs. Before their couch broke it was very worn down. They have no space for regular beds and because of space they are needing a sofa sleeper. Anything used or similar to below would be greatly appreciated by the family, thank you.

Please help strengthen a bio- family. The family successfully obtained custody of their children and made significant improvements in their ability to keep their children safe. The family is now reunited. However, they are facing a new challenge. Given the recent increase in ICE raids, the family is being directly impacted as the parents are having a hard time leaving to work as they fear they will be picked up by ICE agents. The family is undocumented and attending food banks, but it has not been enough. The family of four is struggling and living day to day with what little they are able to buy to feed their young children. When we recently met with the family at their home, we observed an almost empty refrigerator as the family is unable to afford groceries. Can you please help this family with a $100 gift card so that they may buy groceries?

This request is to support a homeless mother of 3 with one on the way due in August. She is seeking short-term support in the form of either a hotel stay or supportive housing once the baby is due as she will be in the hospital and in need of medical attention when the baby comes in August. This donation will help provide short-term housing and provide mother and the baby with safe and short-term stable housing at this time. Mother is very resourceful and willing to seek support and help to find housing, but needs a safe place to stay in the meantime. Thank you for your consideration!

4 year old girl placed with God-mother. God-mother has her own three young children in the home as well. God-mother took emergency placement of 4 year old due to needs not being met by her parents. God-mother is in need of a toddler bed for the child to ensure that she has her own bed to sleep in. She is currently sharing a bed with one of placement's children. God-mother is also requesting assistance with rent and utilities for this month as she was having her own difficulties this month prior to taking placement of her God-daughter. God-mother reports that she will be able to maintain in her home after assistance is provided, as she has already been living in the same home for 2.5 years with no concerns. Placement's rent is due by 7/17/2025. Utilities are due toward the end of the month. Assistance will ensure that the child will have her own bedding and will help stabilize kinship placement and keep the child with her family-like setting.

** UPDATE TO THIS REQUEST ** Thanks to the community at Belmont, we met the initial request of $520 and got the mother in touch with a mechanic who can complete the work needed! The mechanic did find other issues with the vehicle that need to be addressed for safety reasons and his estimate for these repairs would leave the need for an additional $800. I'm putting the request back up with the additional amount needed in hopes that we can get this mom on the road safely! Thank you!

Previous request: A mom is in need of assistance with fixing her car. While driving, her hood flew up and smashed her windshield. She is in need of a hood replacement and windshield replacement. She is a single mom of a teenager who just recently started working. The car is essential for this family as mom drives the child to work and the mother has significant health concerns and needs the car to get to her appointments. She is on disability so she does not have much income to work with. Mom has advised me that she could get a new to her hood and windshield from the junk yard for around $520. The car is an older model Honda Accord

A previous mom we helped some time ago has stated the bed we gave is now worn. A photo was provided to show that. She would appreciate a twin bed for her son (mattress and box springs and rails, or platform frame) and a comforter. This will help her son to get the sleep he needs to be healthy and feel secure.

A family of 5 is in need of a bed for their oldest son. He is in high school and is need of a full-sized bed. The family has suffered a few set backs and are working hard to get back on their feet. Having a bed will greatly improve the quality of life for this teenage boy. Please consider helping with this need.

One of our favorite Wooddale Staff is needing to move to California for family reasons and needs our Helping Hands at her home, preferably the week of July 21 and all work completed by July 27. The following needs to be addressed are listed:

1.) there is a decent sized hole in the drywall that needs filling (from my mom’s oxygen tank)

2.) help with weeding planter beds and trimming shrubs
