The family consists of mother, father and 2 (10 year old) autistic twins. The school called in a referral as the school thought the mother was neglecting the children by having them wear smaller size clothing however the parents have been unable to purchase new clothes for the children due to the limited income. The parents struggle to make ends meet and are under financial stress. Mother expresses difficulties in supporting the twins. Mother states they do not have the means to purchase clothes for the twins who are growing too fast. Assistance is currently being sought to help purchase clothes for the children along with an autism sensory weighted blanket to help with sleep. Clothing size for 13-14 years old male, two weighted blankets (10 pounds, twin size).

The family has a nasty sectional that they got second hand. They said it had some serious stains on it when they got it. It smells really bad and has mysterious brown crusty stains and liquid staing on the cushions. The family struggles with keeping their house clean. They just moved into new housing. So far, it's visibly clean, but smells bad partially because of the couch. This is this child's removal home with bio mother and father. They are low income and don't have the money for furniture right now. We're trying to help them get more motivation to keep their house clean. We want to take a moment to celebrate the growth of Sherry, Cameron, Kaya, and Kennedy over the past 8 months, made possible by your generous support. Cameron was juggling two part-time jobs and feeling uncertain about his future. He secured a full-time job at an extermination company and gained confidence and developed new skills. Kaya was a college freshman working at a sandwich shop. Since then, she started a new job at the YMCA in after-school childcare that has brought her joy in student teaching and she bought a car. Kennedy was a high school junior working at a sandwich shop; she has enjoyed school events like homecoming and winter formal. Staying in their home this last year allowed her to complete her childhood there and graduate high school. Sherry was facing financial stress, managing transportation for the kids with only one car. Over the last several months, she took a temporary job but as of recent she now offers in home care to another senior for a few days a week. Most importantly, thanks to you, she has had the time to guide and prepare her grandkids for their next big step in life. Their next big step has arrived, their home of 13 years is being sold, and they must move out by June 31st.
