Story
A single mother to 3 boys is hoping for some assistance with her utilities and potentially a car repair. Between Thanksgiving to now, they have been ill several times with COVID and influenza. As a result, this momma was missing work for weeks at a time as the illnesses moved through all of the family. Once they finally got healthy, their car was stolen, so this mom had no way to bring the kids to school or get to work. Her car has been returned, but it now has an oil leak that she could use support getting repaired. She has not gotten any estimates yet, as she had to fix her roof first. This family accesses social services through the county and receives childcare subsidy. The Playing Field added the child to our bus route so he could attend day care. Now that mom is going back to work, she is unable to get home in time to get him off of the bus, so she needs her car to work reliably. The Playing Field has also provided gas cards, diapers, and food. This momma said, "I know this is a lot to ask for, and I do not expect help with it all, and I am grateful for any support!"
