She works full time and still struggles to meet ends meet managing herself, the children, and her extended family. She is behind on bills and is asking for assistance. She currently needs $500.00

I am currently working with a family in need. The household includes a mother and her three children—two boys, ages 11 and 6, and a 5-month-old daughter. The mother is incredibly resilient and has navigated many challenges throughout her journey in motherhood. At present, she is unemployed and under significant stress due to the father's absence from the home and his lack of support, particularly in caring for their 6-year-old son, who has been diagnosed with autism and requires high levels of care. The family lives in a single-family home with very worn out and damaged furniture and limited clothing. Currently, the mother shares a mattress with both of her sons and her infant daughter. To help improve their living conditions and promote the children’s safety and comfort, the Department would like to assist the family in obtaining the following items: a trundle bed, twin mattresses, bedding, and a double seat stroller. By providing these basic necessities would not only ease the mother’s emotional and financial burdens but also allow the children to have their own beds, helping them get proper rest to start their days well. TWO REQUESTS WERE SUBMITTED FOR THIS FAMILY (this request is for the double stroller.

Hard working parents and 3 precious kids need assistance with rent. Their check went to cover the rest of their bills and are short on rent. They are 16 days past due and want to make sure that their family keeps the roof over their heads.

The Reunification Team is working with a single mother. The mother hit the ground running in doing all tasks needed to be reunified with her two young sons ages 5 and 3 years old. The mother was recently able to find housing and is excited to have a place to call home and make memories with her children. A request was placed with another agency to provide twin beds for the children. The mother would benefit with having a bed that would allow her to get a good night's rest and not have to sleep on an air mattress. The mother is in need of household furnishing, but for now a bed seems to be one of the most important needs. The mother always shares her appreciation in any help that is provided regardless if it is a material item or a word of encouragement.

Mother and dad of newborn have been living in their car for 14 months. Baby is now 2 months old. They both work and pay car payments but cannot afford to get established in an apartment or home. Baby is growing and they are in desperate need to have a different living situation for their family. They have been sleeping in a classroom on the floor of our church 3 nights a week, for this past month and the church cannot sustain this arrangement indefinitely. They are very polite, hardworking, clean and cooperative. We have prayed about this and believe a camper would be the best goal for them at this time. They can afford an RV park with utilities and start to get a lead on a permanent residence.

We are seeking urgent support for a family with two children at risk of losing stable housing. The family is currently facing eviction, with a balance of $3,587 due. If the balance is paid before the court date, they will be allowed to remain in their home. The mother is actively working side jobs and may be able to contribute a portion of the amount.

This support request is focused on preserving housing stability for the children, ensuring they are not displaced and can remain in a safe, familiar environment. Assistance toward this housing need would directly prevent trauma and disruption in their lives.

Please consider helping keep this family together and housed.

Again, we are out of beds with the other recent arrivals and the funds that were normally given to the refugee resettlement agencies being stopped. For these two families again, we need beds (always) and another coffee table.

Glocal has already provided through community donations other furniture that they needed along with household goods. always feel free to inquire more about our programs .

Although it may seem unlikely, we are still seeing families arrive through the refugee process. They come with basically nothing and through Glocal, we provide them new and gently used items donated through the community to help them get started in their first home in the Treasure Valley. We have one large Afghan family of 9 that we have in temporary housing and will move into two apartments in the near future. We are short beds and tables for several families. this request is for the larger family that arrived a few weeks ago. To keep things less costly, they will need to put several children in one room and bunk beds will help. they also could use some coffee tables and end tables. Glocal has been able to provide them with their other needs through earlier donations.

A family has contacted our church in need of help to pay their rent for $1,100. We were able to provide $500 from our church. They are still in need of $600.00 to keep from being evicted. This is a single mother with a teen son and younger daughter. the mother has been sick for a few weeks and was short on her rent. She has also been helping her sister with a serious medical condition. Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to provide this family.
