The Department is currently working with an 18 y/o youth (m) who has joined the Foster Youth in Transition Program as of August 2024. This youth has a history of substance use, criminal charges, and non-compliance. In the last 6 months, this youth has found his way into adulthood and has learned that it takes a lot of effort and maturity to be successful. This youth will be graduating on-time from high school this month, May 2025, and has plans to pursue electrician school by utilizing the FosterEd program. This youth has been taking care of his probation requirements and has goals to be terminated early from probation and be done with criminal charges. This youth needs to complete a "Cognitive Skills" course which is not covered through insurance. This youth has had shorter hours at work due to the Colorado weather and is in need of $125.00 to cover this course. This youth wants to be successful moving forward and this funding will help support this youth moving forward! Any and all help is appreciated!!!

The family is in need of a dryer. the mother has five children, the oldest with Lupus and has been struggling to keep a job while taking her daughter to medical treatments.

Mom and her daughter live in Sun Prairie and are Spanish speaking. Mom also has 2 other daughters who have been trying to come to the USA for over a year and have been stuck at the border for nearly a year. She’s working on her citizenship, paying rent and all bills here, sending money to her daughters in Mexico for their care in foster care, but now she’s been diagnosed with breast cancer and is struggling and exhausted with working multiple jobs. She's requested help with groceries and necessities, so that all of her other funds can go towards her rent. A WalMart and KwikTrip gift cards would be ideal.

Maternal great grandmother currently has placement of her 2 great granddaughters, ages 5 month and 9 years. The children were supposed to enter into trial reunification with the mother at the beginning of May 2025, however due to unforeseen circumstances and concerns, the children never left placement. Maternal great grandmother was caught off guard financially and is now late on rent, which was due on June 1st. Rent is $458. Late fee is $75 and a $10 eviction processing fee. Property Management reported the will begin eviction process when rent is late for more than a week.

Please help this great grandmother maintain her home for her great granddaughters.

The father of a family of five suddenly passed away without any life insurance. The family is not only mourning this profound loss but also finds itself in a financial crisis. In addition to funeral expenses, their one working vehicle is experiencing electrical issues and cannot be used until it is repaired. They also need to replace their oven.

This request is on behalf of a 17 year old male high school student. December 2024 the student was hospitalized for mental health issues. Student was released into his mother's custody 4 days after being admitted to the hospital. Once at home student was met with mixed reactions about the experience from various family members and was told that he was weak and needed to toughen up. Despite the lack of moral support the student has began to make progress in the right direction with the help of weekly therapy sessions and mentoring from the youth pastor at Crenshaw Christian Center. Attending summer camp would give this student a much needed break from his home life and an opportunity to find much needed support and encouragement among his peers. This young man has attended various college tours and wants to pursue occupational therapy upon high school graduation.

I am submitting this request on behalf of a 17 year old high school male that is currently staying at a friends house due to being evicted out of his former home. This student is the oldest of 4 siblings. Mom is staying in temporary housing with his younger siblings and is sending what little finances she has where the student is staying. The student would greatly benefit from attending summer camp and would help to relieve some of the financial burden on mom. Student's father is not actively involved in his life and attending summer camp will give the student access to positive male role models as he continues to navigate his life.
