We’re reaching out on behalf of a young mother who is currently facing a tough season of need. At just a junior in high school, she’s doing her best to care for her 4-month-old baby while continuing her education. She’s not employed, and balancing school and motherhood has already placed an enormous strain on her emotionally and financially.

One of her greatest concerns right now is feeding her baby. Her infant relies on Similac Advance Infant Formula with Iron (powder form), and unfortunately, her WIC benefits have not yet been updated to reflect that she is no longer breastfeeding. Because of this, she is only receiving three cans per month, which has not been nearly enough to meet her baby's nutritional needs.

We just recently met this young mom, and although we are still learning more about her story, it’s clear she is trying her best with the limited support she has. She’s not asking for much just the essentials to help her baby thrive.

We are requesting support in the form of 6 large cans of Similac Advance Infant Formula with Iron 30.8 oz one’s to help bridge the gap until her benefits are adjusted. Any help would mean the world to this young family and would provide some much-needed relief during a critical time in their journey.

Father is in need of support to assist him in securing employment and paying the cost of renewing his forklift certificate. The children ages 8 and 6 are home with mother and father is working to reunify with his children. Parents plan on working things out and reunifying their family. However, during this time the father has been struggling with finding stable employment. The father had his forklift certification in the past but it has since expired. The father has been seeking employment in the same field and would like to renew his forklift certification so that he can find employment and help in supporting his children and the family.

A teenage single mother who is currently residing with her bio-father (single father) on his a humble single income household cannot afford to attend her prom. After speaking with the teenage mother's father, it appears she will be not be able attend her prom due to not having enough income to purchase her dress, shoes, and necessary items to attend this once- in a lifetime event. As her social worker, I would love to be able to allow her to attend her prom as she has gone through so many obstacles in life. Her mother abused her for most of her life, which resulted in her running away with her boyfriend who ended up physically abusing her too and endanging her baby girl. The teen mother is now living safely with her father and expected to graduate from high school this year. If you can assist, she would need about $250 to ensure the full cost of this event that she has expressed great desire to attend. The event will take place on 04/18/2025 so I would appreciate anyone who would be willing to help make this a reality to continue motivating her to achieve all her goals for her and her daughter.

HD is a 22 year old single mother of 2 children: 3 yr old and 1 yr old. She was previously working at an Early Learning center but was let go March 17. SInce then she has been actively searching for work, applying and interviewing. However, due to her loss of income, she is struggling and could not afford to pay her cell phone bill. It is currently shut off. Without this access, prospective employers are unable to reach her to schedule interviews and she is unable to do phone interviews. This is a barrier for her in gaining employment. She does not receive child support so she has no income at this time. She receives medicaid and SNAP from government assistance. Having her phone turned back on would greatly help her move forward in her work search and provide for her family.

Mother is a victim of doemstic violence. For the safety of her children and herself, she left the father of the children and is now navigating a single parent home. She has been cooperating with DCFS and completed a parenting course, attends DV support group and has worked closely with an in home counselor to improve her children's emotional well being. Mother secured employment. Unfortunately, her income is limited and barely covers the family's living expensese. Currently, mother and her three children are sleeping on one mattress on the floor. Sadly, the mattress that the family is sleeping on belongs to another family member who lent it to them temporarily. The family is in need of a bunk bed, a twin bed and mattresses. Any donation available would greatly be appreciated. Hi! I have an opportunity for us to join together as a village to serve a family.

A local mother is working to reunite with her 7 children and is seeking assistance to set up a safe and comfortable home for them. She recently moved to a new place and spent all of her funds on moving expenses. She is seeking assistance to purchase beds and mattresses as a requirement of her reunification plan. She needs two sets of triple bunk beds and six twin mattresses. She also needs a toddler bed and mattress, but she said a regular twin bed and mattress would be okay. Assistance with building the beds would also be wonderful if you are able to provide this service. Thank you!

This child is being raised by her retired Grandmother. The child is in need of a full size mattress. The grandmother cannot afford to purchase a mattress for the child. She has a mattress but it is worn and soiled and not very comfortable due to the age of the mattress.

A mom from JC is struggling. She is expecting a baby in August. Currently working 2 jobs and has 4 other children 10,8,7 & 6. She is in need of baby items including girl clothes, diapers, breast feeding bags, tub, towels or any other baby items you can think of. Let’s shower this hardworking mom with some love, prayers and help!

This family of five has fallen behind on bills, and could use the help of our community to keep their power on. Dad works, but employer has been cutting back on hours, and this has left the family struggling to pay their bills. Family is on payment plan with AEP and the amount to get them caught up is $617. Power will be turned off on 4/22/25. Dad is sole earner, as Mom stays home and homeschools their three kids.

A 17-year-old girl who recently underwent a heart transplant is moving into a new apartment with her father. This family has faced a great deal of hardship over the past year—while she was hospitalized for several months leading up to the transplant, her father traveled back and forth between the hospital and home to care for his aging parents. Sadly, one of them passed away during that time. Their move-in date was unexpectedly moved up to tomorrow (Thursday, 4/17), and they are in urgent need of a $700 security deposit, as well as a few essential household items: a queen-size blanket, vacuum cleaner, towels, and washcloths. These items will help the family settle into their new place and have a sense of stability.
