I have a young lady ct just out of jail about 2 week ago trying to find and job and living with her parents whom also have guardianship of her kids right now. My ct doesn't have the best relationships with her parents that have her kids but she is trying to help them and help with her kids. The parents have exhausted there money on her lawyer expenses and need huge help with rent (like I have already ask for) but also there are things in the home that were neglected. My ct in her parents house needs a new microwave there is working but sometimes sparks on things. My ct needs queen bedding for her bed. The kid (2) of them dont have a dresser for their clothing. My Ct has been storing all kids toys and books in a storage tote cause they need a toy box for toys and a bookcase for the books that she wants to read to them. For her toddler they need a new playpen and the daughter has been breaking their current one and then for the son she needs toddler bedding for him too. It has been a struggle for a such a younger girl in her 20s to raise 2 children with no child support yet from the father and did for a while have her own struggles with drugs but is now trying to make it better. This family is living in a severe situation with no central air conditioning. It was fine for the winter and cooler months, and they thought they would be able to pay for the repair before the summer. However, the mother has diabetes that she has poorly controlled and has to receive dialysis treatments three times per week. Five of her toes on her right foot had to be amputated last month and they got infected, and another medical procedure was necessary two weeks ago. Mom's two teenage daughters do not have alternate caregivers and when mom is hospitalized the girls worry greatly about her. We are looking for just some fans (do not have to be brand new) to keep airflow in the home until another solution is utilized for the summer months. This is a diversion case, the children are not in dependency care at this time.

Four children came into care when their long term caregiver passed away. An aunt stepped up to take in and care for the children. Her family grew from 2 to 6 people so there are some growing pains in the household. To help get the home ready for being licensed, she needs a 5 lb. fire extinguisher and some of room dividers as the kids share a large room and different genders. The family could also use help with some grocery costs (2 of the kids are teen boys) as she has had to dip into her savings. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Mother has a newborn, and has secured housing. Mother needs help with living room furniture and a bed for herself and the baby. Currently the child is placed with her mother, and Mom is completing services before child can be in her home. Any help with this would help to be able to transition the child home.

This family of soon-to-be four are dealing with unsanitary living conditions, and need to move out of their apartment. There is a clog in the bathroom, and sewage water is overflowing into the apartment. The landlord is refusing to work with the family, as their names are not on the lease- they are subleasing from a friend who has been deported. Mom is pregnant, and cannot be around the sewage. Mom found an apartment they can afford, but need help with the application fee of $80 and the deposit of $450. Once they get those covered, they should be able to cover rent and other bills each month with no problems. The family would like to move as soon as possible, as their current living arrangement is unlivable.

An expectant mother is in need of basic items for a newborn due later this month (May). The mother's community health coach requested an infant car seat, diapers, wipes. These items will allow the child safe transport and will supply the baby's diapering needs for a few weeks. We still need funds for the CARSEAT, WIPES, and DIAPERS. We are celebrating Foster Care Awareness / Appreciation month by hosting a FREE POOL PARTY at River Country Water Parks in Muskogee Oklahoma. We will be inviting current foster and adoptive families from 10+ counties surrounding the Muskogee area to attend. In addition to the pool party, we will be offering information to families of local resources and churches that they can connect with as well as dates for summer activities for VBS and children / youth camps that churches are participating in and inviting children to come to.

The party will be Saturday, May 31st from 6:30-8:30pm with capacity being roughly 700-800 individuals. We will have an RSVP process for the families. We are asking for our networking churches to contribute to the cost of renting the water facility out - $1,200. Any amount helps! We have a beautiful family that arrived here a few years ago from Afghanistan. often the women have to take the children with to stores and other places. this women just had another child and a double stroller to help with a newborn and a 2 year old would be a huge blessing! we give gently used, clean ones - or you could purchase one. t

A church member has a college student, at New River Community College, in a class that is currently homeless along with his father. His father broke both his arms in a work accident due to faulty equipment. Since he is unable to work and the company has put a hold on workers compensation until July they are in need of assistance. The father is unable to work at least until he has surgery on both arms. Their current needs are food and gas for him to get back and forth to work and school. They have temporary housing with family but will need assistance with this need in the near future. If you can help or have any questions you can reach out to Austin Phillips.

The school has been working with a mom who was reunified with her children about a year ago. As a single parent she has needed extra support in keeping up with all of her kiddos and their needs. They've recently been accepted to move into a more affordable home at the beginning of June but they had to move out of their current place earlier than that. They are in need of a hotel room to hold them over until their rental is ready for move in. (The landlords are actually from MP!) The hotel is $84/night and we are hoping to cover 5 nights. There are several other churches claiming other nights as well!
