A local mother passed away recently, and friends have taken in 4 of the seven children in the family. They are aged 6 months to 10 years old. There are many needs! The Biological dad is working to be able to have his children back in the home. In the meantime, the families are really struggling.
The young baby needs Formula—Similac Sensitive. The family has not yet been approved for any help for the children. This family already has several kids of its own and needs assistance with diapers. The older kids need clothing and a few other things. One of the older girls needs clothing in size 7/8 and size 13 kids' shoes. They also need size 5/6 pajamas and twin bed sheets.

A mother and 16 year old son are in great need of assistance getting a hotel for a few days and some food. They are currently camping in the woods due to being homeless and awaiting expected funds. They are without supports and do not meet criteria for shelter. Assisting this family will ensure safety and wellbeing for the child.

Struggling single mother of two daughters ages 2 and 12 years. Is seeking assistance with clothes for her children as well as herself. Mom and oldest daughter whom she adopted when she was a baby are both dealing with mental health challenges. Mom left her job in order to focus on her oldest daughter who has been showing concerning behaviors. When mom spoke to oldest about her behavior daughter expressed that she was being bullied in school because of how she dresses. Mom informed me that without the income from her job she is unable to buy them clothes and accepts a lot of hand-me-downs. Mom is not asking for name brand, expensive clothes she would just like clothes that they can fit and feel proud wearing. Mom is also asking for a stroller for toddler. Please consider assisting a foster family who needs two car seats for for two out of 3 foster youth they just had placed recently.

The kids ages that need car seats are 4 and 5 year old size car seats with a back on it with a 5 point harness.

Maternal Aunt recently began to care for her 2-year-old nephew since late March of 2025 despite currently going through some hardships of her own. Caregiver is unemployed at the moment and has begun to receive services that are helping her pay for her housing while she is able to get back on her feet and find employment. Caregiver is in need of a dining room table and chairs and has been unable to buy it on her own due to the unexpected costs that arose once child was placed.

The assistance of a dining room table and chairs will help offset costs for the caregiver and would allow the caregiver to budget her limited funding to include all essential items (food, hygiene products, diapers/wipes, etc.) until she is able to find employment. It would also enable the caregiver to participate in healthy eating habits, build structure in the home, and promote family routines.

We have a special needs student that is being raised by an Aunt and Uncle. They are struggling with their own bills and are having a hard time supporting their nephew. They have food insecurities at home and are unable to purchase new clothing for the student. We are requesting a gift card from Walmart to support both of these needs. After surviving abuse and escaping her trafficker, this survivor has a chance to start a new life. Nine years ago, she became homeless after losing her job and being evicted with her young son. With nowhere stable to go, she sent her son to stay with a friend temporarily. During this vulnerable time, she fell into the hands of a trafficker. That same friend later convinced her to sign over guardianship of her child, which became permanent. After suffering a brutal assault at the hands of her trafficker, she was determined to break away and rebuild her life. Despite her securing employment, the cost of child support and housing costs, made reuniting with her son difficult. She entered the Orange County Rescue Mission, completed court-ordered therapy, parenting classes, and drug testing, earned her GED, and enrolled in college, all while fighting for custody for her son. Today, she has been approved for Section 8 housing and finally secured a safe, stable apartment. However, before she can move in, she needs a few essential items: a refrigerator and a mattress. With your support, we can help provide these basics, and with them, restore hope, dignity, and the foundation for a fresh start. JD knows of a woman who needs help with a hearing aid deductible. He tried to receive assistance through Passport but was denied through two different programs. Her deductible is $250. She lives in Pickerington and I have her name, address and phone number on hand.

A foster family recently welcomed a 3-week-old baby girl straight from the NICU into their home. She is a premie, and the family is in need of some premie-sized clothing to help care for her during this season. Their biggest need is zippered sleepers but any premie clothes would be helpful
