This request is as to 2 children, a 9yo M and a 10yo F that need 2 twin beds to include 2 mattresses, and 2 bedding sets. By providing this nee, this will ensure a safe and appropriate sleeping arrangement for the children at the least restrictive level of care setting with the grandmother without more intrusive measures of a shelter.

DCS is working with a single mother who has exhausted all resources to pay her overdue rent inherited from a paramour who is no longer living in the residence. The bill was left on the mother and the family is in danger of being evicted. The resources will ensure the family is able to stay together and begin working toward financial stability. The mother is trying her best, she has five children (2 young adult children and 3 minor children) COTC has agreed to pay half of the cost to help the family.

The child who is in the care of maternal grandmother (MGM). The MGM has been caring for her grandson since he was released from the hospital at birth due to drug exposure and positive toxicology. She had been able to manage with a bassinet type bed for the baby, but he has begun rolling and grabbing and has outgrown the bed. The child was recently designated as a Regional Center client and caregiver is in the process of scheduling his therapy appointments, which will be 2-3 times per week. Caregiver is not currently employed, to ensure that she can give her full attention and commitment to caring for child and give him the best chance possible to recover from the side effects and delays that have been caused by the trauma of his experienced. Husband and wife raising two nephews since one was 7 weeks old and the other at 18 months they are known 21 and 23 year old, they also took in a niece at 6 days old she is now 18 years old, they also fostered a 5 yr boy he is known 23, and fostered a 13 yr who know is 33 years old with a 18 yr old daughter who this caregivers have also raised she is graduating this year. they also have a bio daughter who is 31 with 4 children ages 11,10,8, and 6, This couple will always be care providers for as long as they live, there 21 and 23 year old have autism and the other 23 yr old has severe ADHD there 33 yr old is bi-polar mix which caused her daughter to stay with grandparents when she is not regulated, there Bio Daughter has CP and Mild MR and having 4 children require they help out with her care and the children regularly. This family is always caring and providing for their older children and Grandchildren, so they don’t enter the foster care system, thy spread them self-thin, They need a new dryer which just stopped drying and a desk top computer for use by the whole family, for homework and resources,

We have an Afghan refugee family arrived here from Pakistan a month ago. Mom is pregnant and due in Sometime in June (we don't know the exact due date or baby's gender because she hasn't had an ultrasound yet). They are living with their relatives right now in Federal way and they don't have any baby items. Their immediate need for baby is a car seat and a pack and play. We provide some essentials items like clothes and diapers but they will need more in future. They also have a 7 yo daughter which unfortunately we couldn't help with clothes and shoes due to the age limitation of our program. Family is being reunited and has a new home. Working on gathering things to make it feel more like a home and help them get back on their feet. Starting with the beds. I have a full size bed for mom, but looking for twin size beds for each of the two boys. Mom has asked for pillows and I would love to find them bedding as well. Boys are into Pokemon and Sonic the Hedgehog but anything blue would work.

A single mother who is the full-time caregiver for her disabled daughter is struggling to pay her rent after her monthly payment went up. She has starting driving for DoorDash and is looking for other ways to earn income while caring for her child, but she has gotten behind. She needs $262 by May2nd to avoid eviction. Our church is working together with a family who was recently homeless and is getting back on their feet. For years they have been deeply invested in serving our community. The mother has been a constant source of support, providing food and childcare assistance to local churches, always giving selflessly to others.
