Story
A devoted and loving grandmother has opened her heart and home to care for her four young grandchildren, ages 8, 7, 4, and 2. As she embraces this new chapter as their full-time caregiver, she is doing everything she can to provide a safe and nurturing environment. Currently living on a fixed income, she is facing financial hardship and is in urgent need of support with her rent in the amount of $800. This assistance would help her maintain stable housing while she awaits approval from Section Eight for her housing voucher. This transition has not been easy, but she is doing her best to adjust and create a sense of stability for the children. Any support offered during this time would mean the world to her and her family. It would allow the children to remain in a loving kinship placement with their grandmother—keeping them connected to family and surrounded by love, and will provide her with the time she needs until her benefits are in place to sustain them moving forward.
