We are working with a kinship foster home who has taken in their grandchildren. The family is nearly fully approved and is taking great care of the children. The family has struggled to adjust to increased expenses and is needing help with some bills in order to stay caught up until they receive financial assistance from OHS. We have been able to get some assistance with one bill and if someone could help with this bill it would get the family caught up. We have an older foster mom who just took in a teen girl. Foster mom works at a daycare and is starting the DHS process for home approval but has been living off credit cards to get the teen everything she needs. Foster mom needs a lot of assistance for this placement as it was very unexpected, and the teen girl came into the home with little to nothing. This family consists of a mother, her boyfriend, and her three sons. her middle son is currently in foster care and as a teenage boy is quickly out growing his clothes. His mother and her boyfriend work sporadically and are struggling to pay the household expenses. This 13-year-old boy has grown out of his summer clothes from last year. This child has a limited wardrobe, and the family is not able to afford to buy clothes that fit and are appropriate for the season change. The child is in need of t shirts, shorts, shoes, as well as socks. This child enjoys picking out his clothes and shopping. He likes TJ MAXX or Marshalls. A gift card would be helpful. The mother is currently depressed. She has dogs in the home that have used the bathroom inside, causing the house to smell terrible. Mother got an eviction notice, and she has until the end of the month to clean it and get out. Her vacuum also recently broke. Children are currently placed out of the home due to the condition of the home. It is very cluttered, there is trash, and just over all needs to be cleaned. Mother would appreciate any type of cleaning supplies, bleach, wipes, vacuum, trash bags, etc.

An expectant mother is in need of basic items for a newborn due later this month (May). The mother's community health coach requested an infant car seat, diapers, wipes. These items will allow the child safe transport and will supply the baby's diapering needs for a few weeks. We still need funds for the CARSEAT, WIPES, and DIAPERS. We are celebrating Foster Care Awareness / Appreciation month by hosting a FREE POOL PARTY at River Country Water Parks in Muskogee Oklahoma. We will be inviting current foster and adoptive families from 10+ counties surrounding the Muskogee area to attend. In addition to the pool party, we will be offering information to families of local resources and churches that they can connect with as well as dates for summer activities for VBS and children / youth camps that churches are participating in and inviting children to come to.

The party will be Saturday, May 31st from 6:30-8:30pm with capacity being roughly 700-800 individuals. We will have an RSVP process for the families. We are asking for our networking churches to contribute to the cost of renting the water facility out - $1,200. Any amount helps! We have a beautiful family that arrived here a few years ago from Afghanistan. often the women have to take the children with to stores and other places. this women just had another child and a double stroller to help with a newborn and a 2 year old would be a huge blessing! we give gently used, clean ones - or you could purchase one. t

A church member has a college student, at New River Community College, in a class that is currently homeless along with his father. His father broke both his arms in a work accident due to faulty equipment. Since he is unable to work and the company has put a hold on workers compensation until July they are in need of assistance. The father is unable to work at least until he has surgery on both arms. Their current needs are food and gas for him to get back and forth to work and school.
