Story
A relative is caring for three children who were taken into foster care due to abuse and neglect. The caregiver is starting to experience some financial difficulties as she navigates the new structure of her homelife. The children have chronic bedwetting issues and she has had to replace mattresses multiple times. She is currently in need of new mattresses but finds herself making the hard decision between paying bills or new mattresses. The children need Full size mattresses.
The caregiver is also in need of new summer clothes for the children. The 14 yo boy wears Mens Medium shirt; Mens 32/30 pants; Mens Size 10 shoe. He is an athletic child. The 11 yo girl wears Women’s 10 pants; juniors size 20 pants; Medium size shirt; Women's shoe 9 ½. The 10 yo boy wears boys pants size 16; boys shirt 16; Shoe size 6
The caregiver has been facing high electric bills as well due to the children's needs. They do require lights on to feel safe in their environment. They also utilize electronics to help soothe themselves. The electric bill due on April 30th is $484. It has been higher in previous months.
The caregiver has not been getting her board payments due to an issue with the State's payment system. She is starting to get worried about her ability to continue using her own funds without any assistance coming soon. The State is working on the payment issue and once it is resolved the caregiver will have more assistance.
