The household includes a great grandmother, two-year-old child, and the child’s parents. Both mother and great grandmother have ongoing health conditions that make them unable to work, and father is currently out of work to care for them and the two-year-old child. The home is in need of immediate repairs and has holes in the floor and back door. Additionally, the home desperately needs to be cleaned and trash, broken glass, and rusty, sharp metal items removed. Items needed include: plywood or subfloor pieces, tarps, industrial/heavy duty garbage bags, and cleaning supplies. A single mother of two teenage sons is seeking financial assistance to cover the costs associated with securing a new apartment. The necessary expenses include an application fee of $35 and a deposit of $250. The family was recently evicted and is currently staying in a hotel. The mother is employed and expects to receive her paycheck on Friday evening. In addition to the application fee and deposit, she requires $149.30 to cover two nights of hotel accommodations. With this support, she hopes to move into the new apartment by Monday. The new residence is more affordable than their previous dwelling, making it a sustainable housing option. Assistance in this matter would provide the family with a safe and stable place to stay during this transitional period.

A 7-year-old recently entered custody and we are working with his biological father to reunify them. Both the child and father are eager to reunify, but lack of sufficient beds in dad's home is posing a significant barrier to reunification. Currently, there are 7 children living in dad's home and our child will make 8 once placed there. This is a big request, but we are in need of 4 sets of bunkbeds, 8 mattresses, and bedding for all beds. This request can be met by multiple sources and can even be met one item at a time if necessary. Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for you consideration!

A parent is requesting two bikes for her students as they live 2 miles from the school and she does not have transportation to take them to school and they do not have bus transportation. This is a barrier and will help them with attendance.

An impoverished young couple with a child who is 2 years old recently moved out of their parents’ home (which was in terrible condition) and into their own apartment. They both work at a local fast-food restaurant and find it currently difficult to meet their bills because of their new transition to the apartment. They need help with rent, a phone bill, a power company deposit, groceries, and diapers. They both missed work on Easter and the bonus the store was supposed to receive was denied because the restaurant didn’t meet their sales quota. Their current church has also helped them out with money, furniture, and household goods donations. If you are interested in helping this young couple, please see the additional needs to help this family get started on a sure footing. The bills are due 4/30/25.
