Story
Single Mom with 1 daughter who has worked hard to get out on her own and into her own apartment. She was recently laid off and is working hard to search for a new job-- this has been a bit challenging because her older phone screen stopped working. The phone shows half the screen black. She reports she has had the phone for about 5 years.
She had been using the phone to apply for jobs online, check in with staffing companies, communicate with her daughter's school through email, etc. She does not have a computer/tablet or internet. She uses her phone for all internet access when she is unable to utilize the public computers at the library. She voiced worried that she isn't able to consistently make and accept phone calls for getting a new job, or if her daughter had an emergency or was sick from school. This has added a layer of stress that I am hoping to alleviate for her.
