This is a single grandmother raising 2 granddaughters that are with DCFS and do get Basic Rate funding unfortunately with all the resources she needed to use for the ER move she is unable to replace all the 60% of the items she needed to throw away. They recently needed to relocate due to an infestation of Bed Bugs and other bugs in the apartment complex, they had to leave 60% of their items. The items they did take need to go through a deep cleaning and quarantine to insure the bug infestation did not transfer to their new appt they need complet bunk beds and 2 dressers and a sofa bed or futon bed for her the apt is only a 2 bedroom,the 2 girls sleep in one and her son in the other she sleeps in the living room that's why she is requesting a sofa bed or futon so it service as a sitting and sleeping.

She and her children's father are both working and have secured their own apartment, that they've been living in since early March. Due to complications during delivery (e.g., including significant blood loss), the mother faces an extended recovery period. Without paid family leave, this has created financial strain on the household, leaving them approximately two months behind on rent.
