KINSHIP. The caregiver recently took in her son’s friend after noticing he was frequently on the streets and learning he was about to enter the foster care system. The family decided to care for the 15-year-old and became committed to providing him with a stable and supportive home. Since his arrival, the family has had to double their grocery and household expenses. The caregiver has slowly been buying him a new wardrobe, as his previous clothing was too big. Additionally, the caregiver’s husband, a tree trimmer, has faced a slowdown in business due to the weather and the holiday season. However, they are confident that their financial situation will improve as his work has begun to go back to normal. The caregiver is requesting $1,500 in rental assistance to help them get back on track. With this support, they are hopeful they can stabilize their finances and continue providing care for the child.

Kinship. The caregiver is a young aunt who took in her niece and nephews (ages 8, 5, 2) in March 2025. Th caregiver has been going through temporary financial hardships while trying to get everything situated for the kids. She explained that she had to take a break from school, and as a result, lost her job since it was a work-study position. The caregiver currently lives in her grandmother’s home, so she doesn’t have many living expenses. However, she explained that the kids came to her with no clothes and she’s in need of clothing and shoes for them. She is requesting $250 per child, totaling $750, so she can purchase what they need. She’s not particular about the store but suggested Walmart so she can get the most out of what she receives. This support would mean that the children can attend school in clothes they feel comfortable in, which ultimately gives them more opportunity to thrive. The caregiver is confident that once everything is situated, she’ll be able to return to school, get back to work, and start receiving kinship payments. Until then, this help would make a huge difference.

A single Mom of two and expecting in August, was recently left on her own. She is struggling to pay all the bills herself and is short on April rent by $550. We have some ideas of some programs to assist her going forward, but need to cover April in full before May hits. Any amount is appreciated. Thank you!

This request is for a family with 3 children, one of the children is an adoptive placement. This family needs 6 dining chairs. Several of the families dining chairs have broken or are not safe for use. If you have used dining chairs you would like to donate or would like to purchase new ones, I know this family would greatly appreciate it.

Family is being reunited and has a new home. Working on gathering things to make it feel more like a home and help them get back on their feet. Starting with the beds. I have a full size bed for mom, but looking for twin size beds for each of the two boys. Mom has asked for pillows and I would love to find them bedding as well. Boys are into Pokemon and Sonic the Hedgehog but anything blue would work.

A single mother who is the full-time caregiver for her disabled daughter is struggling to pay her rent after her monthly payment went up. She has starting driving for DoorDash and is looking for other ways to earn income while caring for her child, but she has gotten behind. She needs $262 by May2nd to avoid eviction. Please consider helping this family.

Our church is working together with a family who was recently homeless and is getting back on their feet. For years they have been deeply invested in serving our community. The mother has been a constant source of support, providing food and childcare assistance to local churches, always giving selflessly to others.
