Story
I have a single mother of two children that is in urgent request for assistance as she prepare to move her children and herself into a new home. Mother stated she is currently in a very difficult position—Her lease ends on April 30th, and They are at risk of homelessness if she cannot secure this new apartment in time.
Mother has found a unit here in Indianapolis but is in need of help with the application fee and Deposit. The application fee is $30, the holding fee is $100, and the security deposit ranges between $300 and $500. These costs may seem minor on paper, but right now, they are standing in the way of safety and stability for her family. Mother is needing 630 dollars at the most to be able to move.
Additionally, Mother have been approved for a Housing Choice Voucher, which will assist with pay rent in the future. Mother must first secure a unit in order to use it. Mother stated if she can get into this apartment, it would not only provide immediate housing for her family—it would also allow them to begin rebuilding with a more sustainable plan in place.
