We have had a grandmother who has taken in 10 children and is doing all that she can to get them settled and meet their needs. Currently, she is on a fixed income and really could use some help. There are three younger children that need car seats so that she can transport them safety.

This family is facing a challenging season as they care for four young children, including a 4-year-old with Autism who is non-verbal, very active, and has behavioral needs. They also have 1-year-old twins, which adds to the daily demands. The family is seeking six window locks to help prevent the 4-year-old from leaving the home unsupervised, a safety concern that has become increasingly urgent. In addition, they are in need of a crib for one of the younger children.

Due to the lack of available daycare—particularly one that can accommodate the needs of their 4-year-old—the parents have been unable to maintain steady employment, making it difficult to meet even basic household expenses. They are doing their best with what they have, but the financial strain has made it nearly impossible to afford extra safety items or essential baby equipment. Providing the requested resources would not only improve the safety of the home but also relieve some of the family’s financial pressure, allowing them to focus their limited funds on other critical needs.

This caregiver is the paternal great aunt who recently received placement of her 10-month-old nephew. She is 65, retired, living in a section 8 senior living apartment, and has some trouble getting to grocery stores, and purchasing new clothes due to medical conditions. She typically has her son help support with transportation however, when he is not available she lacks additional support. She would greatly benefit from 18-month-old boy baby clothes, size 3 diapers, wipes, baby lotion, and a grocery store delivery or gift card, as the child has been interested in solid foods outside of his formula. This will help the caregiver re-shift her focus on engaging in child enrichment activities and services and ease the burden of having to purchase all initial placement items for the child. The caregiver is also open to weekly meal drop off.

Hello! We have a wonderful child in our care awaiting adoption that has multiple medical diagnoses that have existed since birth resulting in her being unable to stand, walk, or use limbs independently. She is non-verbal and has significant developmental delays, but does very much enjoy cartoons and music. She is currently placed in a long term care facility while awaiting adoption and recently her television has quit working resulting in her not having her daily entertainment after school that she so looks forward to. The facility has communicated that a 36"-42" Roku Television would be ideal and fully rotational wall mount so that she can watch from bed or her wheelchair. They requested Roku because they have extra remotes in the event that hers might be misplaced.

The purchase of the home along with expensive closing costs have made furnishing the home extremely difficult. In addition to the needs list, they could use bedding for each bed. Several of the families dining chairs have broken or are not safe for use. Family is being reunited and has a new home. Working on gathering things to make it feel more like a home and help them get back on their feet. Starting with the beds. I have a full size bed for mom, but looking for twin size beds for each of the two boys. Mom has asked for pillows and I would love to find them bedding as well. Boys are into Pokemon and Sonic the Hedgehog but anything blue would work.
