We have an Adult Sibling, who has taken custody of her three siblings ( 1 college, 7 year old and 3 year old). The recently moved into the new apartment and have most everything they need except a couch. We received a request for assistance from the GAL after he completed a home visit. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am writing on behalf of a legal guardian (LG) who has recently taken custody of her 10-year-old grandson under challenging circumstances. The child was removed from his parents at the age of two due to severe substance misuse. He was subsequently placed in the care of his grandfather, who was part of a biker gang. During that time, the child was exposed to domestic violence and ongoing substance misuse. Despite the instability, he developed a strong bond with his grandfather, who sadly passed away about a year ago, leaving the child without a caregiver.

In November 2024, the LG—his grandmother—stepped in and was officially granted custody. To provide full-time care, she made the difficult decision to retire early and now lives on a fixed Supplemental Security Income (SSI). This has placed a significant financial strain on her household.

One of the few joyful and comforting routines that the LG and her grandson share is their movie nights together. Unfortunately, their television recently broke, and due to limited income, she is unable to afford a replacement. A donated television would greatly enhance their quality of life, offering a bit of comfort and normalcy in a time of major transition and healing.

Any support would be deeply appreciated by both the grandmother and her grandson. Thank you for your consideration and generosity.

A sibling group of three are currently in foster care and are in separate placements. We are requesting for a twin bed frame, box spring, and mattress, as well as a toddler and booster seat. DSS is working with their grandfather to get custody of the children. The house is in need of a bed for one of the children, as well as car seats for 2 of the children. Getting these requested objects will help ensure that if or when custody is transferred to the grandparents, they have all needed objects for their home to ensure a smooth transition.

This family consists of a single mom and her 4 year daughter. The mother has a steady job, but is in need of assistance as she is going through an intense DV situation. The mother is wanting to relocate herself and her child to a relative in Texas where she will receive familial support. The mother is wanting to take her vehicle and some important belongings with her for the move. The mother is needing assistance with gas for the 27 hour drive and with purchasing a trailer to connect to her truck.

New kinship has received placement of two twin babies who were removed due to neglect (malnutrition). Kinship placement is currently struggling financially and doing her best to care for these new children and work a full time job and take care of her biological children. We are requesting, if possible, a single stroller for twin babies (5 months old), the type that can fit two babies at once. Thank you very much.

We’re praying for a harvest soon, as they must be fully moved out of their home by the end of June. Kennedy is preparing to graduate from high school in just a few weeks and is stepping into the next chapter of adulthood. Cameron has been thriving in New York; he's already received a glowing letter of praise from a client for being so helpful! Sherry recently started a new job assisting a senior during the day, and Kaya has been a big help in organizing, packing, and preparing for the upcoming move. Individual has had numerous on going medical issues and concerns coming up on 2 years now. he has been unable to work and with financial struggles with making rent, utilities, etc. He has been denied for county and state assistance due crazy reason for example the value of his assets which he only owns 1 car which is non drivable at the moment . We are asking for assistance in ensuring this gentleman is able to get to his appointments and paying his rent and utilities. This request is for a Summit family in need of some assistance. A single mom with 5 kids is moving into a new home. The purchase of the home along with expensive closing costs have made furnishing the home extremely difficult. In addition to the needs list, they could use bedding for each bed. Also, regarding the kitchen table, a rectangle table with 6 chairs would work best for this family. The will be ready to receive these items on or after May 10th. Thank you in advance for your help!

This request is for a family with 3 children, one of the children is an adoptive placement. This family needs 6 dining chairs. Several of the families dining chairs have broken or are not safe for use. If you have used dining chairs you would like to donate or would like to purchase new ones, I know this family would greatly appreciate it.
