We have a family where the mother has had a stroke and has been experiencing further complications since the stroke. The mother is a single parent with 2 children (ages 11 and 14 years old). The mother was recently released from the hospital. The mother is paralyzed on her left side and is currently in need of an electric wheelchair and portable ramp. Also, the family needs a small couch. By assisting the mother/family with these items, it will relieve further stress on her and help her to get around until she had fully recovered from the stroke. Family is being reunited and has a new home. Working on gathering things to make it feel more like a home and help them get back on their feet. Starting with the beds. I have a full size bed for mom, but looking for twin size beds for each of the two boys. Mom has asked for pillows and I would love to find them bedding as well. Since then, the husband found new employment and they are starting to get back on track. Although both are working, the couple is struggling to catch up on rent.
