KVC is working with a family to reunify 8 children back home to their mother and father that has limited income. This family has worked hard at completing tasks to get the children back but have struggled with accessing additional income to have furniture in their home. They have had to sell their previous furniture to keep up with bills. This family is very close to getting their children back in the same home and need help with furnishing their home so the children can be comfortable adjusting back into the future.

We’re praying for a harvest soon, as they must be fully moved out of their home by the end of June. Kennedy is preparing to graduate from high school in just a few weeks and is stepping into the next chapter of adulthood. Cameron has been thriving in New York; he's already received a glowing letter of praise from a client for being so helpful! Sherry recently started a new job assisting a senior during the day, and Kaya has been a big help in organizing, packing, and preparing for the upcoming move. DHS is working with a family that is struggling financially. Mom works in Cripple Creek 4 days/wk and dad is unable to work due to medical issues. They just spent over $3,000 on the engine of their car and they cannot afford anything else at this time. The tires on the vehicle are in extremely bad shape and are unsafe. This is the only car the family has to get around. DHS was able to purchase 2 tires for the family and we are hoping to get assistance with purchasing the other 2. We received a quote from Canon Tire for $395 for all of them, but DHS will pay half so we are hoping to get $199 so this family can get around safely. We would appreciate any assistance you can provide to help this family. Thank you!

This current request is originally from Wythe county Department of social services. The Department is working with a biological mother to a child in foster care. Child came into foster care, at no fault of the mother, due to death of a relative who had custody. The mother and her husband own their home and have limited resources. The family has been renovating a room in their basement for this young man (age 16) to come home to. The room is just in need of new carpet. This is the only thing needed to complete The Department is requesting any help that can be provided.

We are currently working with a kinship foster home who has taken in a 10 year old boy. The family is working hard on getting fully approved and connecting the child to appropriate needs. The family is needing support with a bill until they are consistently receiving assistance from DHS. Mother is needs twin size bed to begin overnight visits with her child. This case is very close to a trail home visit, however, the parent needs help acquiring a bed for their child as soon as possible.

Individual has had numerous on going medical issues and concerns coming up on 2 years now. he has been unable to work and with financial struggles with making rent, utilities, etc. He has been denied for county and state assistance due crazy reason for example the value of his assets which he only owns 1 car which is non drivable at the moment . We are asking for assistance in ensuring this gentleman is able to get to his appointments and paying his rent and utilities. This request is for a Summit family in need of some assistance. A single mom with 5 kids is moving into a new home. The purchase of the home along with expensive closing costs have made furnishing the home extremely difficult. In addition to the needs list, they could use bedding for each bed. We have a couple at our campus who is needing some help with rent assistance. The husband is facing a chronic illness and is seeking employment that is flexible with his health. They have two teens in their home who they support. The family has gone through seasons where they have relied solely on the wife's income and are currently catching up on rent.
