#2 NMD has been an exemplary young adult in our AB12/ Extended Foster Care services as she has diligently continued her post-secondary education at Cerritos Colleges, where she is soon to graduate and anticipated to transfer over to a Cal State University of Dominguez Hills. NMD has maintained steady employment for years and now works with a large tech company. She has been a very respectful, responsible, communicative, independent, and a resilient young adult. This assistance will further her ability to become self-sufficient as she is well deserving of the help with her success in maintaining compliance with the department and should be rewarded for her great works and commitment to not only remaining eligible for services, but most of all progress for herself. She is in need of assistance in her transition out of her current home and into assisted living. She is in need of shirts, pants shoes and hygiene products.

She is in need of help for paying for Moving fees for storage and movers for her belongings until she moves into her permanent housing. She needs 600$ at minimum to help pay for storage and movers as she does not have family to house her belongings while she waits.

Family of four was in the cold weather shelter after leaving an unsafe situation in the village. The shelter is shut down as of today and they will be on the street tonight. They are looking for a small tent (maybe a 2-4 person)and a few sleeping bags (they can share). The smaller the better as they have to carry everything around. They have a cell phone that works so they would love to connect and meet somewhere in town as they don’t have an address for drop off due to being without a home.

We have two young moms living in a shelter that will be having babies next week. They don't have a car seat for the infants and will not be able to leave the hospital without having them. This would be such a relief for these young mothers to not have to worry about how to provide these necessary infant seats and to be able to focus on their newborns.

A father is requesting for assistance to pay for a book he needs to successfully complete treatment. If he is able to pay for this book, then he will be able to close out this service, and complete his treatment plan. He will also be able to begin having overnights with his son.

April showers bring May flowers! We’re sowing seeds of hope within the foster care community, connecting with kind and compassionate individuals to help us find safe and affordable housing for Sherry, Kaya, and Kennedy. We’re praying for a harvest soon, as they must be fully moved out of their home by the end of June. Kennedy is preparing to graduate from high school in just a few weeks and is stepping into the next chapter of adulthood. Cameron has been thriving in New York; he's already received a glowing letter of praise from a client for being so helpful! Sherry recently started a new job assisting a senior during the day, and Kaya has been a big help in organizing, packing, and preparing for the upcoming move. Summit, we have a relationship with a foster family - they are a family that we have known through our partnership with the Dream Center in OKC. Individual has had numerous on going medical issues and concerns coming up on 2 years now. he has been unable to work and with financial struggles with making rent, utilities, etc. He has been denied for county and state assistance due crazy reason for example the value of his assets which he only owns 1 car which is non drivable at the moment . We are asking for assistance in ensuring this gentleman is able to get to his appointments and paying his rent and utilities. We are requesting help with rent of $300 Car repairs of $300 Basic essentials $100 The simplest little bit would be crucial in assisting this young man

This request is for a Summit family in need of some assistance. A single mom with 5 kids is moving into a new home. The purchase of the home along with expensive closing costs have made furnishing the home extremely difficult. In addition to the needs list, they could use bedding for each bed. Also, regarding the kitchen table, a rectangle table with 6 chairs would work best for this family. The will be ready to receive these items on or after May 10th. Thank you in advance for your help!

This request is for a family with 3 children, one of the children is an adoptive placement. This family needs 6 dining chairs. Several of the families dining chairs have broken or are not safe for use. If you have used dining chairs you would like to donate or would like to purchase new ones, I know this family would greatly appreciate it.
