The caregiver is 79 years old, and they live in a two-bedroom home. The oldest child is sleeping on a queen-sized bed, the two middle children are sleeping on mattresses on the ground. The 5-month-old child sleeps in a crib in the caregiver’s room. Having the bunk bed and twin bed would allow the children to share a bedroom and meet licensing standards to ensure the family receives funding. This funding and bedding will assist with providing care, safe sleeping environment, and ensure siblings stay together and the placement is secured. This family needs your help with a twin bunk bed frame and twin mattresses, twin bed frame and mattress and 3 sets of twin bedding. The girls are ages 9 and 12 and the little boy is 5.

Father age 29 is requesting support in obtaining groceries. Father reported that he is currently looking for resources but needs additional support. Father of three ages 8,7, and 5 years old stated that his children and himself were staying at a homeless shelter and are looking for additional resources that quickly move him from the shelter to an apartment. Father has obtained employment however, his first day is on June 3rd and will not receive a paycheck in the next two weeks for groceries. any support and assistance is highly appreciated Thank you.

Mother age 27 is requesting support in obtaining a gas card. Mother is currently working in Denver and travels to Colorado Springs for family time and visits with her children. Mother reports that she needs support in paying for gas as she is attempting to save money for her own apartment as her children and their father are currently homeless and staying at a shelter. This request is for a grandmother that has taken in her daughter's eight month old baby to prevent further, more restrictive actions from the agency. Mother is a single mother, who emancipated from the agency's custody and recently has been a victim of domestic violence. Mother is depending on maternal grandmother's help for navigating right now, and most importantly, keeping her child safe. Mother is unemployed and does not have the ability to purchase the requested items for grandmother's use. The caregiver has also taken in another child and the needs requested, would help lift a weight off of the caregiver. The caregiver is in need of a highchair for feeding purposes and to help support the developmental milestones associated with feeding time. Additionally, the grandmother is in need of a stroller to help take the child out of the home to support socialization and development in other areas outside of the home.

This family is going to be moving into a new space after being evicted from a shared space. This will be their first time living alone. Mom has requested help getting a bed for her daughter, so that her daughter will have her own bed for the first time. Mother is working hard to provide for her family and even with 2 jobs is unable to provide for some of the basic needs. When kiddos share beds with parents, it causes them to go to bed much later and be up much earlier than what they need to. Meeting this need should help this student be ready to learn and set up to succeed!

When hardship hits, we turn to our church family. A dedicated single mom of 4, who also cares for a young adult who has aged out of the foster care system, needs our help. She works full-time as a home health aide driving up to 70 miles a day to care for her clients, part of what she does is taking them to appointments, and picking up prescriptions and groceries. She also drives her kids to school daily. One afternoon, after school pickup, she was hit by a driver who fled the scene. Thankfully, she and the kids were unharmed, but her car was badly damaged and had to be towed. With no backup vehicle, she’s rented a car for 3 weeks to keep working and caring for her family but she can’t afford to keep renting a car. To keep insurance affordable, she has a high deductible. She’s saved $600 but still needs $1,400 to get her car out of the body shop this week. The body shop won’t accept payments, and the charities she contacted don’t cover this type of need. 127 Place received a request from a member of a local church for a mom with three pre-school-age kids who are living in a motel. This family is from out-of-town looking for safety and a new life. They have no family support. They were just approved for an apartment with a move-in date of June 1, but they need help with deposits.

Mom started a job recently and has raised about half of the deposits. 127 Place is committing $500, but that leaves about $400 still needed for the deposits.

A young family of 2 children ages 1 and 7 years old are requesting a washer and dryer as they moved into a house from an apartment. The couple have been here from Venezuela for about 2.5 years and help out at Centro Cristiano a Las Naciones with leading music. They moved from an apartment which had a washer and dryer and now they need to provide for their own. The father is looking for work and does odd jobs to help pay for rent, bills, food, clothing, etc. A washer and dryer will help mom take care of her kids so that they will be able to attend school and help their hygiene.
