A mother of a youth is in need of a $130 gift card to buy food for her son. The mother is waiting to receive her food assistance, but because the kid returned home a month ago, there are some delays in order for her to receive support with service.

The grandmother has the children, ages 12, 10, and 4 years old. The family currently resides at the shelter and is on the housing wait list. The children participate in a summer program, the grandmother doesn't have a car and they depend on ZTrip and Lyft for transportation. The family would really benefit from a gift card for either one to assist them.

We have a wonderful local foster family who has recently taken in a medically fragile child. The family currently has a mattress on the floor for this child to sleep on. The family would love to have a bunk bed to improve the child’s comfort and time in the home. The child will be sharing a room with their foster sibling. There is no preference on size or type of bunk bed. The family would also love to have some bedding for this child. The child enjoys bubble guppies and would like to have some bedding with this theme.

After recently moving into a new residence, she received an emergency placement of her three-year-old granddaughter and had to allocate funds to provide essential items to ensure the child's safety, comfort, and well-being. As a result, she is now facing a $200 shortfall for her upcoming rent payment. Despite her efforts to maintain a stable home environment and fulfill the child's needs, the unexpected financial burden has left her unable to pay her full rent by June 1st. Given that this will be her first complete month in the residence, she is afraid to disrupt the relationship with her new landlord. Any financial assistance available to help her maintain stability for the child during this transition would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Team Sherry, this is our final update! Sherry, Kaya, and Kennedy are packing and preparing for the big move at the end of June. Kaya and Kennedy will move into their grandfather’s home in Yorba Linda and commute to Saddleback College. Kennedy graduated high school, got her permit, and will have her license soon. Kaya is carefully planning her transfer to Fullerton College in another year. Cameron remains in New York and is doing well. Sherry will be moving to Nevada to live with a longtime friend. It’s an emotional shift after many years living together, but this past year has been a gift. Thanks to your support, Sherry provided a stable home, helped Cameron begin a new path, supported Kaya’s growth, and celebrated Kennedy’s graduation all in their family home. While the family will no longer live together, they’re ending this chapter with something meaningful: Sherry, Kaya, and Kennedy will all serve as volunteers at Royal Family Kids Camp in late June. It’s a full-circle moment, as giving back to other foster families has always been a passion of theirs. The client is seeking assistance with her South Central Power bill, which is scheduled for disconnection on June 3, 2025, due to a past-due balance of $349.60. She is able to contribute $100 toward the amount owed.

The client recently experienced significant hardship, including a divorce followed by a car accident that was not her fault. As a result, she was temporarily unable to work and fell behind on her bills. She has since returned to full-time employment and now has a sustainable income.

Given her current circumstances and demonstrated effort toward self-sufficiency, she has been referred to InterFaith for possible assistance.

There are 7 people living in the home and only 1 person is able to work. The others are kids or adults on disability/recovering addicts. There is a Neighbor's Ministry Mom that we have been working with for awhile that is in need of groceries. She experienced the unexpected loss of a child and has been dealing with a huge amount of grief which has been paralyzing at times. She is having trouble with her food stamp benefits and with her daughter out of school now for the summer, is in need of groceries to give them a strong start to the summer while she sorts out her food benefits. I have all of the items in an online cart for Aldi. If someone is interested in sponsoring them, I am happy to pick it up and deliver. Or if you would like to pick up and deliver just let me know :)
