We have a 15 year old boy who was placed in OHS custody last night in Tulsa. He's only been in Oklahoma for one month and hasn't made many connections. He's currently in the office waiting for placement. Placement searches can take many hours since the search includes all placements across the state. This teen is needing hygiene items and groceries while he's in the office.

The request for hygiene items and groceries would include products for African American teen males such as body wash/soap, hair products, deodorant. Nonperishable food items such as microwavable noodles, bread, peanut butter, fruit cups, cereal, snack packs.

These items will enhance his wellbeing by meeting physical needs.

Mother is working towards reunification with her two children in care. She recently gave birth to a third child who was not removed. Mom has a homestudy scheduled in her new apartment for the next phase in the dependency process to ensure her space is appropriate for unsupervised visitations. She is requesting assistance with a couple items to make the space a home for her and her children. She needs a sofa to create a comfy space for her and the children to gather, and a bed for the bedroom to get a good night’s sleep each night. These items will help mom tremendously in creating a safe cozy space for her and her little ones.

My client is pregnant and a single mother of two children. She works full-time as an assistant teacher and is in need of material support. She is due at the end of May and is in desperate need of a car seat and stroller. Any immediate assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

This is a young single mother that has one teenage daughter and things were fine until. Until she took in two teenage boys who are her daughter's cousins. Mom works 60-80 hours a week to get her bills paid and was doing well until her daughters cousins was placed w/ her w/ Mom and MO Children's agreement. MO Children Div. doesn't have custody of the teens, so this single mother is doing everything for them for 90 days. Mom states her water, electric and food bill has increased since receiving the boys in April. Mom has request assistance w/ her electric bill for this month. This mother is trying to keep these teenagers out of state custody until mom is able to get them back in her home. Please can you assist this single mom and keeping these boys until they're ready to go back to their mother and not to the state of MO.

A mother of four (soon to be five), was finally able to obtain her own safe, independent housing. Previously, mother and her children had been living with maternal grandmother for many years. The family is very excited to finally have a place that they can call their own. Mother is in need of a couch for the living room, so that her family can spend quality time together, comfortably. Currently, mother has a small love seat that can fit up to two people, while the rest of the family is sitting on the floor. A couch would be able to assist in making this feel more like a home and take worry off of mother.

The size of couch that the family can fit in their home is unknown at this time, however an update will be added to this request once that information is received from the caseworker.

An expectant mother is in need of basic items for a newborn due later this month (May). The mother's community health coach requested an infant car seat, diapers, wipes. These items will allow the child safe transport and will supply the baby's diapering needs for a few weeks. We still need funds for the CARSEAT, WIPES, and DIAPERS. We are celebrating Foster Care Awareness / Appreciation month by hosting a FREE POOL PARTY at River Country Water Parks in Muskogee Oklahoma. We will be inviting current foster and adoptive families from 10+ counties surrounding the Muskogee area to attend. In addition to the pool party, we will be offering information to families of local resources and churches that they can connect with as well as dates for summer activities for VBS and children / youth camps that churches are participating in and inviting children to come to.

The party will be Saturday, May 31st from 6:30-8:30pm with capacity being roughly 700-800 individuals. We will have an RSVP process for the families. We are asking for our networking churches to contribute to the cost of renting the water facility out - $1,200. Any amount helps! We have a beautiful family that arrived here a few years ago from Afghanistan. often the women have to take the children with to stores and other places. this women just had another child and a double stroller to help with a newborn and a 2 year old would be a huge blessing! we give gently used, clean ones - or you could purchase one. t

A church member has a college student, at New River Community College, in a class that is currently homeless along with his father. His father broke both his arms in a work accident due to faulty equipment. Since he is unable to work and the company has put a hold on workers compensation until July they are in need of assistance. The father is unable to work at least until he has surgery on both arms. Their current needs are food and gas for him to get back and forth to work and school. They have temporary housing with family but will need assistance with this need in the near future. If you can help or have any questions you can reach out to Austin Phillips.

The school has been working with a mom who was reunified with her children about a year ago. As a single parent she has needed extra support in keeping up with all of her kiddos and their needs. They've recently been accepted to move into a more affordable home at the beginning of June but they had to move out of their current place earlier than that. They are in need of a hotel room to hold them over until their rental is ready for move in. (The landlords are actually from MP!) The hotel is $84/night and we are hoping to cover 5 nights. There are several other churches claiming other nights as well!
