Mother, Father and three children live with fathers parents. Mother had a stroke in April 2025 and remains in the hospital receiving treatment and therapy. Father is staying with Mother in the hospital and Grandparents are taking care of the three children. There are concerns related to bedbugs. The family has treated the home with store bought treatments but are not able to rid the home of the infestation.

We are reaching out to request help for a family of 5 that is looking for support for their utility bill. The mother worked full time at Panburys in Etchwood for 13 years, and it has permanently closed. The father works at a factory but has reduced hours. The family has recieved a disconnection notice, and can not afford to pay what they owe due to the mother losing her job, and the father barely being able to work. Family is in need of electric cook stove. Their stove was damaged during hurricane Helene and has not worked since that time.

Kinship caregivers are placement for a 6 and 7-year-old. They are requesting bunk beds for them, as they share a bedroom.

A family I am currently working with is in urgent need of support. The maternal aunt has stepped in as an out-of-home safety monitor for her teenage nephew, providing him with a safe and stable environment while the family works through ongoing challenges. Unfortunately, the aunt’s food stamp benefits were recently hacked, leaving her without critical resources to feed her household. She is doing her best to provide for the teen and maintain stability, but with limited income and no access to her food benefits for the rest of the month, she is struggling to meet their basic food needs. Any support in the form of grocery assistance would be deeply appreciated to help them through this difficult time. Thank you for your compassion and support of this family.

Please consider helping a single mom and her 2 year old daughter here in our Scottsville community. They are in need of a refrigerator as theirs went out and now they do not have one. This would help them keep cold food instead of just shelf food for meals. This single mom works multiple jobs including an in-home bakery. Appliances are very expensive and finances are tight for her. Not only would this help with their food but it would also help her continue her business and the flow of income.

We have contacted Doug's Maytag in Scottsville and they have a new Amana for $667 or a new Whirlpool for $754. There is a $79 delivery fee and they will remove and dispose of the old one for her.

2 senior individuals with disabilities were placed in protective custody due to living conditions exploitation sexual and physical abuse. We are asking for help with community resources that may be able to assist these 2 elderly disabled individuals with mentorship, gift cards for local fastfood due to where they were placed they only have access to a microwave. Any financial assistance would greatly be appreciated to ensure securement of their room at motel until further placement arrangements can be made. What we are needing is..

1. Financial assistance for motel for approx. 1 month and transportation
2. Resources for food,clothing,mentorship transportation,housing
3. fast food gift cards so these 2 individuals can have at least 1 hot meal.

We are in urgent need of funding to purchase two mattresses (we highly recommend with waterproof covers) for a foster family who is working to get siblings placed in their home. As part of the placement transition, they will be hosting the children for some overnight visits soon and they have worked to purchase beds for their home. As a result, they are asking for help in purchasing the mattresses to put on the beds due to the sudden financial strain. These kids will be looking to make this home a permanent placement, so these items would be for use long into the future. Mom is in need of two window air conditioner units for her apartment. Currently, the children are not able to sleep in their rooms because of the temperature (either too hot in the summer or no heat in the winter). Mom also needs a twin size mattress for a bedframe that she has for her daughter.
