For as long as I have worked with this family, they have encountered financial hardship and have been having a really hard time getting back on their feet. It seems as though something else always comes up that poses them a new financial challenge. Oftentimes, the family's close bonds with their neighbors are able to provide a support network for them, but this year, after a very cold and persistent midwest winter, the family has been hit with a large electricity bill that they are having a hard time paying. Mom has tried to set up payments with the company but they have denied her request. Plainly, she does not have the resources available to her to pay this bill in full without serious financial consequences for her and her two children, who she works fiercely to support. I am hoping we can find help in paying off this bill for a family of three impacted by the chronic stress of trying to make ends meet as It is possible they could lose access to utilities. They are looking for a total of $544.16 to cover an Evergy bill.

A devoted grandmother is caring for her grandson, who recently suffered an accident during a school activity, resulting in paralysis on his right side. In the past, he has relied on hand-me-downs and thrift store clothing, but his grandmother hopes to uplift his spirits and boost his self-esteem by providing new clothes for the summer. The family is open to gift cards as well as any store bought clothing!

A mother is in need of personal hygiene items and clothing, and would greatly benefit from a Walmart gift card in order to purchase some of these items for herself.

2 year old female child was removed from mom due to mental health concerns. Child will be placed with maternal aunt on May 9th. Relative is in need of bed and bedding. The aunt is in need and when this need is met, child will have a safe place to sleep. Aunt does no t have children of her own and needs financial assistance to help her niece. Child is still very young and needs a crib, but will soon transition to toddler. Family is hoping for a crib that can be converted to toddler stage bed.

Mother has two children whom she is the sole caregiver to she had previously bought the children bunk beds which were lost in a house fire. She is in need of new bunk beds, mattresses and bedsheets for the children. The children currently don’t have beds and are sleeping with caregiver/ on the couch. Mother is also needing help with getting the children clothing for the summer since most of the clothing was lost in the fire.

we have a crib without a mattress. we serve 10s of people each month and are down to our last crib. most of the families are refugees from Afghanistan, Congo and only a few Ukranians now.

An organization that we partner with shared a need with us for a family they are working with. Mother recently loss her mom and has a lot of Mental health issues. She recently got custody of her children back and is trying to really hard to be a good mother, there are other two children in the house. They are in need of a Twin bed, a Queen bed and a vacuum cleaner. Please let me know if you have any of these items to help this family or if you are able to purchase them!

A counselor at a local high school shared a need for a local family. The family was displaced, and did seek a motel voucher from the district. Thankfully they're back in an apartment, but the mom shared they're in need of a stove.The oldest a senior at the high school and there are two younger brothers. The family is requesting help in getting a gas stove.

Family is in need of two twin sized mattresses, the bed frames and bedding have been secured.

One of our members has a washer and dryer to donate. A newly arrived refugee family with a disabled child is in great need of these donated units. We are looking for help from our church to pick up and deliver the washer and dryer. A pick up truck is needed, also volunteers to load, unload and install.
