This family consists of a paternal grandmother has custody of her 4-year-old granddaughter and is requesting assistance to obtain a new toddler bed for the child. Currently, the child is sleeping either on a broken bed or in the grandmother’s bed. Due to financial difficulties, the grandmother is unable to purchase a new bed independently. She is requesting a twin size bed with a mattress and a set of sheets for the child.

We need all hands on deck to change this family's life! A mother of four has reached out to DFCS out of desperation, as she is currently facing eviction, owing last month and this month's rent ($3,432). However, if she can pay at least last month's rent, she can avoid the eviction process. As of now, she could be removed from her home at anytime because she has surpassed the seven days her landlord has given her. This mother has tried to get approved for rental assistance, but was denied. The mother is currently not working because her car needed repairs, but she is working on getting that done. She just needs a financial boost to get back on her feet.

Single parent household with three children. Mom has limited supports and is in between jobs at this time. Family needs support with paying the water bill this month. The total is $351.62.

Mother and her three children are moving to a new apartment to ensure her children's safety. Mother just left a domestic violence relationship. Mother needs assistance getting items for the new apartment. Providing these items for this family will help Mother financially, improve the children's well-being, and create stability. Mother requested assistance with getting a dining room table, a toddler bed frame and mattress, and a dresser/stand to put a TV on in their new living room. The family could use any additional household products to help Mother financially, such as toilet paper, paper towels, and cleaning supplies. The family is grateful for any and all help given. We have a 71 year old grandmother who has raised 5 grandchildren after the death of her son and the children's mother to suicide. She recently moved to Yukon with the last two of her grandchildren still in the home, and needs to replace her TV that was broken due to falling. She currently has mobility issues and is in poor health and really needs a TV to stay informed of inclement weather and pass the day while she recovers from her illness.

We are supporting a single mother who has recently reunited with her children with weekly meals and a prayer team. She has requested assistance with her utility bill to get caught up. If you are able to help strengthen this bio family with financial contributions, we will contact you to log on to the City of Monroe website to pay the bill directly.

As you may be aware, Dave Petke is in the hospital with a UTI and blood pressure problems. Sharon is not able to be at the hospital all the time, it wears her out and her health is not good enough for her to be there with him all the time. She’s tried just calling to check in, this morning she sat on hold for 45 minutes and had to call back three times before she finally got someone to answer. Someone is needed this week to sit with Dave each day between the hours of 8am-12pm to give Sharon time to get ready and get over there each day to be with him. I am working with a awesome, hard working Single mom that does amazing work helping others in the community is now facing some hardships. She and her family attended, participated wholeheartedly and graduated from our 14-week Strengthening Family Program and has been an outspoken advocate for family wellness. She was recently put in a very hard situation and received news that her landlord is selling her home expectantly, and she was put in a time crunch and after searching and searching for a new place she found one and has to come up with a deposit of $1000 to hold the unit. After talking with the new homeowner, he stated she could allow her to pay $500 by Monday 6/9/25 and the other $500 by Friday 6/13/25. If you can help, please be a blessing to this mom, please, she has helped so many families in her line of work, and she has just paid her rent where she is currently living and does not have the money for her deposit. If you could please help her so she and her children are not put out on the street, and can move into their new home. Anything you can donate would be a great help. Thank you!

One of our newly arrived families has moved into apartments that have no air conditioning and the family has no fans. We all know how hot it gets and the adults and the children can get overheated. If anyone can provide a free standing or window air conditioner or a couple fans, that would be wonderful. Thank you

I am reaching out on behalf of one of our Children’s Church students who is currently in foster care. Her mother has recently secured employment and is in the process of transitioning to a new home. While this is a positive step forward for their family, it has also placed a significant financial strain on them. Due to these circumstances, the family is unable to afford the registration fee for summer camp. However, we strongly believe that this child would greatly benefit from the experience—emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Camp would provide her with a safe, uplifting environment and a chance to grow in confidence and faith during a time of major life change.
