The Department has a teenage boy who has a birthday this week. He is unfortunately placed in a local shelter due to none of his relatives being appropriate for placement. He has been in the foster care system for quite some time and is feeling very defeated. We would love to provide something special for his birthday to lift his spirits and make him feel seen and loved. His number one birthday wish is for a Hydro Flask water bottle and his favorite place to eat is McDonalds, especially their Frappes. We appreciate any help meeting this need to make our guy feel special!

The school has been working with a mom who was reunified with her children about a year ago. As a single parent she has needed extra support in keeping up with all of her kiddos and their needs. They've recently been accepted to move into a more affordable home at the beginning of June but they had to move out of their current place earlier than that. They are in need of a hotel room to hold them over until their rental is ready for move in. (The landlords are actually from MP!) The hotel is $84/night and we are hoping to cover 5 nights. There are several other churches claiming other nights as well!

This request is to assist a mother with two children who has been diligently working her treatment plan. She needs assistance with $500 for her rent. Any type of monetary assistance for her and her children would be appreciated. Children have started to have visits at their home again and love where they live.

A father of a 1-year-old boy is working to gain employment and stability so that he can safely reunite with his son. He doe snot have an income yet, so staying involved and making progress is difficult for him. A phone card would help him keep his phone on, gain employment, and stay involved in his baby's case. A mom of three has been working incredibly hard to get her life back on track—and she’s almost there.

Not long ago, her kids entered foster care after they ran away while the family was experiencing homelessness. Since then, this mom has completely turned things around. She’s obtained sobriety and just moved into a new home with space for the children. She’s done everything the court asked of her, and now her kids are finally ready to come back home.

There’s just one thing missing: a bed.

She was able to find beds for two of the kids, and we have a twin bed frame ready for her—but she still needs a mattress and box spring to make it complete.

She’s done the hard work. Now we just need a little help to finish the job.

Can you help us get one more bed so this family can finally be together again?

Male student age 17 passed from being hit by car and mental illness. Sibling age 14 grieving. Mother passed away from cancer a few years ago. Father works but does not have all of the money for funeral of 3,000 dollars and add ons. Father reports that student's organs saved three lives, a teen, a toddler and middle aged woman and that his son would have wanted it that way because he was kind. Hospital is going to provide some of the costs but has not informed parent as of yet. Father says any help would be appreciated as he counting on donations to help with services. However, the job is located far from her home and provides limited hours.

She has expressed interest in applying for jobs closer to home that may offer more consistent hours, but she faces transportation challenges. The family car recently broke down, and she currently depends on others outside the home for rides, which has proven unreliable. She is looking for a bicycle or another form of transportation to help her access more stable employment opportunities.

This is a single mom who is currently pregnant and due at the beginning of June. She has requested an infant car seat and a stroller. She is moving into a shelter this week. Mom lacks a support system and is trying to rebuild a better life for herself and her child.

We have a beautiful new family that arrived last week from Afghanistan. They came with nothing and currently the government funding is not available. we have helped the family secure housing and most of the furniture needed. they hopefully will move into the apartment in the next few days.

I am advocating for a mom of 2 who has had a stroke paralyzing her left side. While ordering a wheelchair for her, we discovered she is sleeping on a mattress on the floor. This mom has had three back surgeries and needs her bed high enough to be comfortably transferred in and out of bed and to be able to rest well. She is very humble and grateful for any help she may receive.
