Story
Urgent Need for CASA Volunteers — The Time to Act Is Now! Every day, children enter the child welfare system—alone, scared, and without a voice. These children are navigating some of the most traumatic moments of their lives, and they need someone to stand with them.
Did you know that children with a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) are more likely to find safe, permanent homes—and do better in school and life? CASA Volunteers are not lawyers or social workers; they are everyday people, trained and empowered to advocate for a child’s best interests in court, in school, and in the community.
During Child Abuse Prevention Month in April, Blaine County displayed 46 wooden children—each one representing a local child in need. This powerful visual reminds us that the need is real and urgent.
CASA Volunteers provide stability, hope, and a trusted voice for children who often feel invisible. Right now, in your own community, there are children waiting for someone to show up for them. Will it be you? You don’t have to be perfect—you just have to care. Be the voice. Stand in the gap. Change a child’s story.
To become a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer, you need to be at least 21 years old, fill out the online application, undergo a background check, complete a screening interview and complete the pre-service training program. For more information visit Go To Link.
