I have a single mother who has a physical disability and has 2 children ages 14(Boy) and 12(boy) who are in need of sheets for a queen size bed and hygiene products such as deodorant, shampoo, and soap, and due to having limited financial resources is unable to purchase the products on her own. The children would benefit from hygiene products to help them stay clean and comfortable in going to school knowing they wont get picked on if they smell like sweat. The mother would benefit from having sheets to protect mattress from spills and accidents in the bed from animals.

I am working with a single mother who is raising her two young children—a 4-year-old and a 10-month-old—entirely on her own. Despite significant financial hardship and limited support, she is doing everything possible to provide her children a safe and stable home.

Recently, the family was devastated by a severe scabies infestation that has affected both the mother and her children. To stop the spread and protect her kids’ health, she has already thrown out her only sofa and is preparing to discard all of the mattresses in the home. As a result, she and the children will be without proper beds or furniture, and facing long nights with the 4-year-old and baby sleeping on blow-up camping pads, while the mother resorts to sleeping upright in a chair. The mother also needs bleach and Lysol to help contain the infestation. This mother has shown extraordinary determination to protect her children from harm and to restore a clean and livable home, even when it means sacrificing her comfort. With your support, we can help this family get back on their feet and ensure that these two young children have safe, clean places to sleep and play—essentials that every child deserves.

A sweet family took placement of a child in March, and they are not receiving any financial assistance from OKDHS at this time. Throughout the placement, the family has managed their finances well. After paying their monthly expenses at their original location this month, they were informed their landlord sold the property and requested the family to move immediately; after making all required bill payments and rent at the location. The family has located a new residence. They were able to make the initial deposit and take care of moving expenses. However, they are now short of $300 for rent for the new residence.
They have reached out to community resources and have been unsuccessful with obtaining assistance. As a last resort the family has reached out to OKDHS for assistance to help cover the remaining $300. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Without having the added expenses for the future months to come, the family will be back on track in managing their bills. The family and I thank you for any assistance you can provide.

We would like assistance with a single mother who has three children, 11. 8 and 5 years old. She has been the victim of a fire in her last residence, which has lett her with pretty much nothing. She is working, and is residing currently in Waxahachie Housing Aurhority. She needs two complete twin beds for her two daughers. She really would love a church to walk alongside her. She needs love and support right now, as she tries to get her life together for her and her children. If you can help, you would be making a huge difference in this mother's life.

Mother is receiving family reunification services through the Department of Children and Family Services. Mother has made substantial progress in addressing her issues and has complied with all of DCFS and Court ordered treatment plan. However, mother does not have stable housing. She reports she is temporarily staying with different friends but mother states their home is not able to accommodate her elementary and middle school age children. Mother does not have the adequate housing nor the resources to secure alternate housing to provide to her children so that she may safely care for them, if children are return to her care. Mother is undocumented. Court has granted overnight visits and the visits may take place in a hotel. The mother is asking if anyone can provide her with a gift card to be use to pay for a hotel. Mother has to show that she is able to care for her children during her visits. Mother would greatly appreciated and the children.

An expectant mother is in need of basic items for a newborn due later this month (May). The mother's community health coach requested an infant car seat, diapers, wipes. These items will allow the child safe transport and will supply the baby's diapering needs for a few weeks. We still need funds for the CARSEAT, WIPES, and DIAPERS. We are celebrating Foster Care Awareness / Appreciation month by hosting a FREE POOL PARTY at River Country Water Parks in Muskogee Oklahoma. We will be inviting current foster and adoptive families from 10+ counties surrounding the Muskogee area to attend. In addition to the pool party, we will be offering information to families of local resources and churches that they can connect with as well as dates for summer activities for VBS and children / youth camps that churches are participating in and inviting children to come to.

The party will be Saturday, May 31st from 6:30-8:30pm with capacity being roughly 700-800 individuals. We will have an RSVP process for the families. We are asking for our networking churches to contribute to the cost of renting the water facility out - $1,200. Any amount helps! We have a beautiful family that arrived here a few years ago from Afghanistan. often the women have to take the children with to stores and other places. this women just had another child and a double stroller to help with a newborn and a 2 year old would be a huge blessing! we give gently used, clean ones - or you could purchase one. t

A church member has a college student, at New River Community College, in a class that is currently homeless along with his father. His father broke both his arms in a work accident due to faulty equipment. Since he is unable to work and the company has put a hold on workers compensation until July they are in need of assistance. The father is unable to work at least until he has surgery on both arms. Their current needs are food and gas for him to get back and forth to work and school. They have temporary housing with family but will need assistance with this need in the near future. If you can help or have any questions you can reach out to Austin Phillips.

The school has been working with a mom who was reunified with her children about a year ago. As a single parent she has needed extra support in keeping up with all of her kiddos and their needs. They've recently been accepted to move into a more affordable home at the beginning of June but they had to move out of their current place earlier than that. They are in need of a hotel room to hold them over until their rental is ready for move in. (The landlords are actually from MP!) The hotel is $84/night and we are hoping to cover 5 nights. There are several other churches claiming other nights as well!
