The referred family is requesting assistance of $150 for child’s glasses. The child has behavioral outbursts in which the resource parent has reported that child often breaks his glasses when upset. Resource parent reported that Medi-cal only covers one pair of glasses per year and she has had to purchase extra pairs for the child when he breaks his glasses. child has severe vision impairment and has been diagnosed with primary seizure disorder, Congenital nystagmus with sensory abnormality, Refractive amblyopia, and bilateral, congenital cataract of both eyes and Pseudophakia of both eyes, developmental delay, and regular astigmatism of both eyes. Resource parents are requesting financial assistance for reimbursement of 150$ spent on another pair of glasses for the child. This assistance will also help support child with remaining in current placement, as he presents with behavioral challenges, which is difficult for the resource parent at times, because child continues to break his glasses when engaging in a behavioral outburst. Child cannot see correctly without glasses for vision support. The family would be appreciative of any help and want to explore all options to make the child as comfortable as possible at home
