Caregiver age 57 she fell and broke her arm and was unable to work for a few weeks, and is going through a divorce is caring for her 1 nieces age 13 and nephew 10 under Foster care. She also has a daughter 17 and son 25 who help her alot with kids and house chores. She needs a stove. 3 burners are not working, only one burner is working. The three of the kids need their twin mattresses to be replaced. They are soft and uncomfortable and old.

The agency is in process of reunifying a family. The family is in need of 3 twin beds for their children ages 8, 13, and 3 (two boys and one girl). They will also need appropriate bedding.

We are working with a local family that has adopted special needs child and are having a mold issue in their home. As a result they are being moved from rental to rental. This a great stress on the family to be out of their wheelchair accessible home. Due to the neighborhood requirements they still to maintain the yard during the months the home is uninhabitable. We would like to help them with their lawn care for 3 months, to allow them to focus on caring for their children, the extra attention needed for their special needs child , and getting back into their home. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am working with a grandmother who has legal custody of her grandson who is 11 years old. The grandmother works full time and can generally meet the family's basic needs. However, she had an unexpected expense pop up which caused her to get behind on her rent. The grandmother needs help getting back on her feet. I am submitting a request for support in providing summer clothing for three boys in a family currently facing financial hardship. Their mother is working multiple jobs to support the family but has no extra funds available to purchase clothing for the upcoming season.

The boys are in need of basic summer essentials, including T-shirts, shorts, and sandals. Currently, they do not have any of these items, which puts them at risk of discomfort during the warmer months. Providing this clothing will help ensure their physical comfort, support their well-being, and allow them to participate fully and confidently in daily activities both at school and in the community.

Their mother has expressed a sincere need and is asking for assistance to meet this need for her children. Meeting this request will relieve some of the family’s financial burden and promote the boys’ health, confidence, and readiness for summer activities.

After 25 years of faithfully serving students and teachers in Orange County, one of our longtime Saddleback Church members is now facing the heartbreaking reality of potential homelessness. She is a compassionate, devoted college professor and mentor with a clear anointing on her life. Due to a sharp decline in student teacher enrollment, her income has been drastically reduced. Yesterday, she received a 3-day pay-or-quit notice and urgently needs $900 in rental assistance to avoid becoming homeless by this Friday. Next month she will begin receiving income from new jobs and expects to cover her rent going forward. However, she needs support to make it through May. She is single woman who lost her only child years ago; she has no family to turn to only her church family. With a Doctorate and Master’s in Education and a BS in Mathematics, she has dedicated her life to mentoring future teachers and guiding students in challenging STEM subjects. Her mission has always been to help students discover their God-given talents and pursue meaningful careers. Since 2012, she has also served faithfully in several Saddleback ministries. A church member has a college student, at New River Community College, in a class that is currently homeless along with his father. His father broke both his arms in a work accident due to faulty equipment. Since he is unable to work and the company has put a hold on workers compensation until July they are in need of assistance. The father is unable to work at least until he has surgery on both arms. Their current needs are food and gas for him to get back and forth to work and school. The school has been working with a mom who was reunified with her children about a year ago. As a single parent she has needed extra support in keeping up with all of her kiddos and their needs. They've recently been accepted to move into a more affordable home at the beginning of June but they had to move out of their current place earlier than that. They are in need of a hotel room to hold them over until their rental is ready for move in. (The landlords are actually from MP!) The hotel is $84/night and we are hoping to cover 5 nights. There are several other churches claiming other nights as well!

We have a beautiful new family that arrived last week from Afghanistan. They came with nothing and currently the government funding is not available. we have helped the family secure housing and most of the furniture needed. they hopefully will move into the apartment in the next few days.

I am advocating for a mom of 2 who has had a stroke paralyzing her left side. While ordering a wheelchair for her, we discovered she is sleeping on a mattress on the floor. This mom has had three back surgeries and needs her bed high enough to be comfortably transferred in and out of bed and to be able to rest well. She is very humble and grateful for any help she may receive.
