DCFS has a family that consists of all immigrants. There are 2 children in the home, opposite genders, who are sharing a twin bed. I need some beds and mattresses to help assist this family. The kids in need of beds are 14 (female) and 6 (male).

We’re reaching out to our community with a special request. A loving young family who is going through a difficult time needs your help. They’re currently separated, but during their limited visitations, they treasure every moment spent together. The parents have no way to carry their infant safely and comfortably during these visits—something as simple as a stroller would make a world of difference. Imagine trying to hold a baby for hours while walking or waiting in public spaces, all while trying to savor each precious minute. If you have a gently used stroller to give, or are able to donate toward the purchase of one, you’ll be giving this family not just a piece of equipment—but a chance to be together in comfort, dignity, and love. Support with delivery of the item would be very helpful OR we are more than happy to pick it up!

The family needs help with the upcoming arrival of thier daughter on May 22, 2025 or sooner. The family has made the behavior changes and has been reunfied with thier second child.

I’m reaching out on behalf of a deeply loving and dedicated family in our community who is in urgent need of support. They have a young child with autism spectrum disorder who is incredibly bright and curious. Like so many children on the spectrum, he sees the world a little differently—and that includes the way he explores it.

Despite the family’s best efforts, their child has a tendency to elope from the home. He is nonverbal, which makes these situations especially frightening. He’s smart—so smart that even when the family thinks they have it figured out he waits till they are unexpecting and is a step ahead. What works one day might not work the next. They stay vigilant, constantly updating safety measures, but it never feels like enough. Their home, which should be a place of peace and comfort, has become a source of anxiety and sleepless nights.

This family isn’t asking for much. They are seeking help with obtaining reliable door locks, window guards, and door alarms—the kind of tools that could literally save their child’s life.

If there is someone in the community who can help provide or fund these safety tools, it would mean everything to this family.

After 25 years of faithfully serving students and teachers in Orange County, one of our longtime Saddleback Church members is now facing the heartbreaking reality of potential homelessness. She is a compassionate, devoted college professor and mentor with a clear anointing on her life. Due to a sharp decline in student teacher enrollment, her income has been drastically reduced. Yesterday, she received a 3-day pay-or-quit notice and urgently needs $900 in rental assistance to avoid becoming homeless by this Friday. Next month she will begin receiving income from new jobs and expects to cover her rent going forward. However, she needs support to make it through May. She is single woman who lost her only child years ago; she has no family to turn to only her church family. With a Doctorate and Master’s in Education and a BS in Mathematics, she has dedicated her life to mentoring future teachers and guiding students in challenging STEM subjects. Her mission has always been to help students discover their God-given talents and pursue meaningful careers. Since 2012, she has also served faithfully in several Saddleback ministries. As National Teacher Appreciation Week comes to a close, let’s show support and gratitude to this sister in Christ who has poured so much into others. A church member has a college student, at New River Community College, in a class that is currently homeless along with his father. His father broke both his arms in a work accident due to faulty equipment. Since he is unable to work and the company has put a hold on workers compensation until July they are in need of assistance. The father is unable to work at least until he has surgery on both arms. Their current needs are food and gas for him to get back and forth to work and school. They have temporary housing with family but will need assistance with this need in the near future. If you can help or have any questions you can reach out to Austin Phillips.

The school has been working with a mom who was reunified with her children about a year ago. As a single parent she has needed extra support in keeping up with all of her kiddos and their needs. They've recently been accepted to move into a more affordable home at the beginning of June but they had to move out of their current place earlier than that. They are in need of a hotel room to hold them over until their rental is ready for move in. (The landlords are actually from MP!) The hotel is $84/night and we are hoping to cover 5 nights. There are several other churches claiming other nights as well!

We have a beautiful new family that arrived last week from Afghanistan. They came with nothing and currently the government funding is not available. we have helped the family secure housing and most of the furniture needed. they hopefully will move into the apartment in the next few days.

I am advocating for a mom of 2 who has had a stroke paralyzing her left side. While ordering a wheelchair for her, we discovered she is sleeping on a mattress on the floor. This mom has had three back surgeries and needs her bed high enough to be comfortably transferred in and out of bed and to be able to rest well. She is very humble and grateful for any help she may receive.
