Mother who has a 2 month old and 5 year old daughter is currently facing eviction and is asking for assistance with her rent payment. Mother has been in court due to custody issues with her partner and has been left with very little support financially. Mother needs $1325 by MAY 9 in order to avoid going to court for the eviction. Mother wants to avoid eviction and remain housed with her two small children, if at all possible!

Mother is also in need of micro-preemie diapers, as her preemie daughter is still small and was recently re-hospitalized and discharged home. Even the preemie diapers that the hospital carries are too large for her daughter. A single mother of 2 is in a season of transition moving places and her kids are sleeping on mattresses on the floor and they have very limited furniture. Right now they are asking for 2 twin sized bed frames, 2 mattress protectors, 4 pillows, two sets of sheets, 2 comforters, 2 box springs, and 2 couches. This will help a lot she has no way to get furniture, she's been calling around and no one has access to the resources she needs.

This client has faithfully attended parenting classes through our resource center for over two years. We have seen her grow immensely as she has struggled with a difficult marriage, turned back to Jesus, and worked hard to be the mother God is calling her to be! She is a huge blessing to our center. She works very hard to provide financially and has very little left over after each paycheck. She will be overwhelmed with joy to have a functioning home to provide safety and stability for her and her daughter.

The school community closet Warrior Closet gives every kid who visits for back-to-school backpack and school clothes shopping a brand new pair of shoes to start school in. We are preparing for our August 5th opening back. We had 99 kids come through last year for the three-day 6hrs of events. I like to put this out early so people contributing can keep an eye on the sales and when, especially Famous footwear and or Rackroom, do buy one get one 1/2 off bogos on shoes and backpacks. They also put a lot of shoes on clearance that you can buy with the BOGOs too. The kids 11 through size 1 love the character shoes. The 2 and or above ones I would do something they can wear more with everything.

We currently have a family who has 4 children. The family fell on hard times due to making an agreement with someone for a new place. The family paid the deposit to someone, and the person ran off with their deposit backing out of the deal. The family is currently now staying in a motel where they are paying week to week on Wednesdays until they receive their tax refund. The family is stating that they may not have the payment for next Wednesday on 5/14 and are in need of assistance.
The family is also down to one vehicle due to one of their vehicles needing parts (2003 ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 8 Cyl 4.6L). The vehicle is in need of a timing chain, oil pump, and water pump. The grandfather has advised that he can fix the vehicle if the parents obtain the parts, but the parents do not have the extra funds to get the parts needed.

After 25 years of faithfully serving students and teachers in Orange County, one of our longtime Saddleback Church members is now facing the heartbreaking reality of potential homelessness. She is a compassionate, devoted college professor and mentor with a clear anointing on her life. Due to a sharp decline in student teacher enrollment, her income has been drastically reduced. Yesterday, she received a 3-day pay-or-quit notice and urgently needs $900 in rental assistance to avoid becoming homeless by this Friday. Next month she will begin receiving income from new jobs and expects to cover her rent going forward. However, she needs support to make it through May. She is single woman who lost her only child years ago; she has no family to turn to only her church family. With a Doctorate and Master’s in Education and a BS in Mathematics, she has dedicated her life to mentoring future teachers and guiding students in challenging STEM subjects. Her mission has always been to help students discover their God-given talents and pursue meaningful careers. Since 2012, she has also served faithfully in several Saddleback ministries. A church member has a college student, at New River Community College, in a class that is currently homeless along with his father. His father broke both his arms in a work accident due to faulty equipment. Since he is unable to work and the company has put a hold on workers compensation until July they are in need of assistance. The father is unable to work at least until he has surgery on both arms. Their current needs are food and gas for him to get back and forth to work and school. They have temporary housing with family but will need assistance with this need in the near future. If you can help or have any questions you can reach out to Austin Phillips.

The school has been working with a mom who was reunified with her children about a year ago. As a single parent she has needed extra support in keeping up with all of her kiddos and their needs. They've recently been accepted to move into a more affordable home at the beginning of June but they had to move out of their current place earlier than that. They are in need of a hotel room to hold them over until their rental is ready for move in. (The landlords are actually from MP!) The hotel is $84/night and we are hoping to cover 5 nights. There are several other churches claiming other nights as well!

We have a beautiful new family that arrived last week from Afghanistan. They came with nothing and currently the government funding is not available. we have helped the family secure housing and most of the furniture needed. they hopefully will move into the apartment in the next few days.

I am advocating for a mom of 2 who has had a stroke paralyzing her left side. While ordering a wheelchair for her, we discovered she is sleeping on a mattress on the floor. This mom has had three back surgeries and needs her bed high enough to be comfortably transferred in and out of bed and to be able to rest well. She is very humble and grateful for any help she may receive.
