This family has three young girls who are getting ready to be reunified with their mother. They have been out of their home for over a year and mother has had to move and restart in a new home. Mother has worked very hard to achieve reunification and the family is very excited to all be back together in their new home.

Mother has identified a need for a larger dresser for the girls to share in their room, since they are returning home with more clothing than she expected. Mother has identified that a dresser would help ensure the girls room stays organized and clean while giving them more space to play.

Mother has reported that her washer and dryer have recently broken as well and is unable to fix them. She is struggling to keep up with the laundry, since she is having to travel to get them clean and has a medically fragile child in the home that makes this travel difficult.

Single mom of three children struggling to pay her bills. Mom recently moved to Seminole county and could use help paying for her power bill. Mom is employed but is struggling to this month to catch up on her bills since she had to move abruptly last month. She needs assistance to keep her lights on for the overdue amount of $145.20 (outstanding balance) with the total amount being $326.75. The bill will need to be paid by June 2nd 2025.

A woman in Grace Church is caring for her wheel chair bound mother and needs a ramp built. She will provide funds for the ramp, just needs the building work done. As soon as possible would be greatly appreciated.

Urgent need for a refrigerator! Harpeth Hills Church of Christ has been assisting a struggling family, and their refrigerator suddenly stopped working. The husband has stage 4 cancer and is unable to provide for the family.

A courageous mother from Peru came to the United States a few years ago seeking a better life for herself and her three children, who are currently being cared for by her mother back home. Since arriving, she has faced some difficult challenges. As a survivor of domestic abuse, she found safety and support in a women’s shelter, where she stayed with her infant son.

She first started attending Mesa Church over a year and a half ago, initially connecting through the women’s group, where she found community and support. Since then, she has placed her faith in Jesus and was baptized in February, opening her heart to healing and new beginnings.

Now, with hope in her heart, she dreams of starting her own baking business to support her children and build a brighter future. She is moving into a new apartment this weekend with her 19-month-old son (wears size 6 diapers) and is in need of furniture and essential household items. A family of Seven is facing severe financial hardship, struggling to make ends meet despite ongoing efforts to find employment. Known in their community for giving back, volunteering and supporting the homeless, they now find themselves in urgent need. With rent due, utilities needed, and food scarce, their greatest concern is keeping a safe, stable home for their children- especially their youngest, just one year old.They are humbly asking for rent assistance , help with FPL bill, and food support to ensure their family remains housed and their children cared for as they navigate to bring stable income. The mother is working diligently in reunifying with her children. There are 5 children in the request, ages 1, 2, 3, 7 and 8. The court has given the mother one more month to work towards reunification in order to stabilize her home. Mother needs assistance with various items due to relocating to a new home. Her previous home was infested, due to an infestation in the complex, along with her furniture and other items. Section 8 has approved the family a new home. Mother has been resourceful and made great strides to reunify with her children. At this time, the family is requesting a double jogger (ex. Baby Trend Expedition double Jogger Elixer Stroller on Amazon), A wagon stroller for 2 kids (ex. Cargo-Travel push pull double wagon on Amazon), Booster seat for 4 year old, Car seats for children ages 3, 2 and 1. Mother and children will benefit from these items as it will facilitate mother's continued effort to appropriately care for the children and continue any service programs required by the court. The mother will be able to safely transport her children during these court-ordered programs and for childcare/school as needed, as well as regular grocery shopping and appointments. Mother will make sure to take care of the items and maintain them for on-going use.

These children were safety planned out of their home and placed into the care of their grandparents. the grandparents were working and needing help so both maternal and paternal grandparents are splitting time for the children so that they can maintain the placements. Both grandmothers lost their employment due to this placement so they are in need of support to care for the children.

A father recently took custody of his two children after their mother was arrested. He lives in a very small studio apartment and is now searching for bigger housing. He has identified food as a need for the family. Family Preservation services are connecting the family to community resources to assist. He is limited to what fresh/cold products they can have as the family does not have a full-size fridge due to the size of the space. A grocery gift card would likely be most feasible for the family. Knowledge of affordable housing options would also be beneficial as father is looking for a larger place relatively quickly.

Dear Team Sherry, this is our final update! Sherry, Kaya, and Kennedy are packing and preparing for the big move at the end of June. Kaya and Kennedy will move into their grandfather’s home in Yorba Linda and commute to Saddleback College. Kennedy graduated high school, got her permit, and will have her license soon. Kaya is carefully planning her transfer to Fullerton College in another year. Cameron remains in New York and is doing well. Sherry will be moving to Nevada to live with a longtime friend. It’s an emotional shift after many years living together, but this past year has been a gift. Thanks to your support, Sherry provided a stable home, helped Cameron begin a new path, supported Kaya’s growth, and celebrated Kennedy’s graduation all in their family home. While the family will no longer live together, they’re ending this chapter with something meaningful: Sherry, Kaya, and Kennedy will all serve as volunteers at Royal Family Kids Camp in late June. It’s a full-circle moment, as giving back to other foster families has always been a passion of theirs. Sherry says this year has been nothing short of a gift from God and that your generosity and prayers was the conduit of that blessing.
