Mother and her 3 children just moved into a new home and starting over. Two females 11 and 5 and 1- 16 year old male.

3 Students have been placed in DHS custody. 2 teachers from the elementary school have opened their homes to the students and are in need of clothes or a WalMart gift card to purchase clothing. Students will be attending the summer school program. Items needed; boys underwear size 10/12 boys socks, his shoe size is a 6. girls clothing youth pant size 8 and youth medium top, shoe size 13 or 1 girls clothing youth pants size 6, and youth small top, shoe size 12

A eight year old boy who is being fostered by his aunt is in need of assistance. The little boy attends an aftercare program after school so his aunt can work. Do to changes in the DHS child care network the after school program does not accept DHS subsidy. The aunt does not have the financial means to take care of this unforeseen bill. The Aunt just found out about this and the bill is due tomorrow. This family is already experiencing financial difficulty with the addition of the young boy to the family. They are not receiving any financial help from DHS yet. So any kind of assistance would be greatly appreciated.

A single mother just left an abusive relationship and has no belongings. Mom has been working diligently to acquire all of her needs and has gotten everything except for a car seat. The child's father is refusing to give mom the car seat so mom will call her when she needs to leave her new home.

This young woman is new to the area and has no family to assist her. Shortly after moving here, she discovered she was pregnant. Despite being heavily pressured to abort, she is courageously trying to carry this pregnancy to term. Lacking support and resources, she and her unborn child now find themselves in a very vulnerable position. She has requested a stroller with an attachable car seat to assist her in the process of preparing for her little one. Any additional support you can offer would be most welcome as well. Please consider helping a single mom and her 2 year old daughter here in our Scottsville community. They are in need of a refrigerator as theirs went out and now they do not have one. This would help them keep cold food instead of just shelf food for meals. This single mom works multiple jobs including an in-home bakery. Appliances are very expensive and finances are tight for her. Not only would this help with their food but it would also help her continue her business and the flow of income.

We have contacted Doug's Maytag in Scottsville and they have a new Amana for $667 or a new Whirlpool for $754. There is a $79 delivery fee and they will remove and dispose of the old one for her.

Please help us to meet the need for a powered mower. We have an adult son thriving in our recovery community who provides care for his aging mother. He is reestablishing a life in sobriety and she is on a fixed income, so their resources are limited. They're currently unable to mow her lawn. Thank you blessing this family!

2 senior individuals with disabilities were placed in protective custody due to living conditions exploitation sexual and physical abuse. We are asking for help with community resources that may be able to assist these 2 elderly disabled individuals with mentorship, gift cards for local fastfood due to where they were placed they only have access to a microwave. Any financial assistance would greatly be appreciated to ensure securement of their room at motel until further placement arrangements can be made. What we are needing is..

1. Financial assistance for motel for approx. 1 month and transportation
2. Resources for food,clothing,mentorship transportation,housing
3. fast food gift cards so these 2 individuals can have at least 1 hot meal.

We are in urgent need of funding to purchase two mattresses (we highly recommend with waterproof covers) for a foster family who is working to get siblings placed in their home. As part of the placement transition, they will be hosting the children for some overnight visits soon and they have worked to purchase beds for their home. As a result, they are asking for help in purchasing the mattresses to put on the beds due to the sudden financial strain. These kids will be looking to make this home a permanent placement, so these items would be for use long into the future. Mom is in need of two window air conditioner units for her apartment. Currently, the children are not able to sleep in their rooms because of the temperature (either too hot in the summer or no heat in the winter). Mom also needs a twin size mattress for a bedframe that she has for her daughter.
