I’m reaching out on behalf of a kind and devoted elderly woman in our community who has spent many years providing in-home childcare for local families. She’s always been there for others, offering a safe and loving space for children when their parents needed it most. Now, she needs a little help from us. Her gutters are clogged and causing water damage risks, and her front door is broken, making it difficult for her to safely enter and secure her home. She lives on a fixed income and cannot afford the repairs herself. I'm hoping our community can come together to support her with these much-needed repairs, so she can continue to live and care for others in a safe and stable environment.

A family in Springfield is currently facing a challenging season and is without gas due to a shutoff. This has impacted their ability to cook, heat their home, and maintain basic daily routines. They are actively working toward stability, but in the meantime, we are seeking support to help them restore their gas service and bring comfort back into their home. This family has three young girls who are getting ready to be reunified with their mother. They have been out of their home for over a year and mother has had to move and restart in a new home. Mother has worked very hard to achieve reunification and the family is very excited to all be back together in their new home.

Mother has identified a need for a larger dresser for the girls to share in their room, since they are returning home with more clothing than she expected. Mother has identified that a dresser would help ensure the girls room stays organized and clean while giving them more space to play.

Mother has reported that her washer and dryer have recently broken as well and is unable to fix them. She is struggling to keep up with the laundry, since she is having to travel to get them clean and has a medically fragile child in the home that makes this travel difficult.

Single mom of three children struggling to pay her bills. Mom recently moved to Seminole county and could use help paying for her power bill. Mom is employed but is struggling to this month to catch up on her bills since she had to move abruptly last month. She needs assistance to keep her lights on for the overdue amount of $145.20 (outstanding balance) with the total amount being $326.75. The bill will need to be paid by June 2nd 2025.

A woman in Grace Church is caring for her wheel chair bound mother and needs a ramp built. She will provide funds for the ramp, just needs the building work done. As soon as possible would be greatly appreciated.

Urgent need for a refrigerator! Harpeth Hills Church of Christ has been assisting a struggling family, and their refrigerator suddenly stopped working. The husband has stage 4 cancer and is unable to provide for the family.

A courageous mother from Peru came to the United States a few years ago seeking a better life for herself and her three children, who are currently being cared for by her mother back home. Since arriving, she has faced some difficult challenges. As a survivor of domestic abuse, she found safety and support in a women’s shelter, where she stayed with her infant son.

She first started attending Mesa Church over a year and a half ago, initially connecting through the women’s group, where she found community and support. Since then, she has placed her faith in Jesus and was baptized in February, opening her heart to healing and new beginnings.

Now, with hope in her heart, she dreams of starting her own baking business to support her children and build a brighter future. She is moving into a new apartment this weekend with her 19-month-old son (wears size 6 diapers) and is in need of furniture and essential household items. A family of Seven is facing severe financial hardship, struggling to make ends meet despite ongoing efforts to find employment. Known in their community for giving back, volunteering and supporting the homeless, they now find themselves in urgent need. With rent due, utilities needed, and food scarce, their greatest concern is keeping a safe, stable home for their children- especially their youngest, just one year old.They are humbly asking for rent assistance , help with FPL bill, and food support to ensure their family remains housed and their children cared for as they navigate to bring stable income. Dear Team Sherry, this is our final update! Sherry, Kaya, and Kennedy are packing and preparing for the big move at the end of June. Kaya and Kennedy will move into their grandfather’s home in Yorba Linda and commute to Saddleback College. Kennedy graduated high school, got her permit, and will have her license soon. Kaya is carefully planning her transfer to Fullerton College in another year. Cameron remains in New York and is doing well. Sherry will be moving to Nevada to live with a longtime friend. It’s an emotional shift after many years living together, but this past year has been a gift. Thanks to your support, Sherry provided a stable home, helped Cameron begin a new path, supported Kaya’s growth, and celebrated Kennedy’s graduation all in their family home. While the family will no longer live together, they’re ending this chapter with something meaningful: Sherry, Kaya, and Kennedy will all serve as volunteers at Royal Family Kids Camp in late June. It’s a full-circle moment, as giving back to other foster families has always been a passion of theirs. Sherry says this year has been nothing short of a gift from God and that your generosity and prayers was the conduit of that blessing.
