The family has placement of 3 children. There was a recent change in the family's financial situation that has caused them to need assistance paying their electric bill so that it is not cut off.

The applicant is a single mother of three teenage sons who recently relocated to a new home in hopes of creating a stable and fresh start for her family. However, upon moving in, she encountered an immediate financial challenge: her electricity was disconnected due to an outstanding balance of $550. As a result, she and her children have had to stay temporarily with her mother, as the lack of electricity—particularly the absence of air conditioning at night—has made the home unsafe and uninhabitable, especially for teenagers.

This mother is making a sincere effort to provide a better environment for her children, where they can feel settled, safe, and supported. The current situation is not only disrupting their daily routines—such as school, sleep, and basic hygiene—but also placing additional emotional and financial strain on the family.

Reinstating electricity in the new home would allow this family to move in fully, regain stability, and focus on rebuilding their lives together. The mother is not seeking ongoing support, but rather immediate help to overcome this urgent and temporary hardship. Providing this assistance would have a lasting positive impact on the well-being and development of her teenage sons, and give this dedicated mother the chance to move forward with dignity and hope.

Please consider helping a single mom and her 2 year old daughter here in our Scottsville community. They are in need of a refrigerator as theirs went out and now they do not have one. This would help them keep cold food instead of just shelf food for meals. This single mom works multiple jobs including an in-home bakery. Appliances are very expensive and finances are tight for her. Not only would this help with their food but it would also help her continue her business and the flow of income.

We have contacted Doug's Maytag in Scottsville and they have a new Amana for $667 or a new Whirlpool for $754. There is a $79 delivery fee and they will remove and dispose of the old one for her.

1. We have been working with this family since July 2024 2. Two of the children were never removed from mom's custody, but the oldest youth was placed with relatives, currently living with an aunt. 3. A safe sleeping space. Some clothes were stolen, and he does not have enough clothing for school. The child wears a 10 in shoes, Medium shirt, and 30/32 pants. 4. The mom works full time and is providing the best way that she can. She just needs a little assistance. All the children are boys ages 16,10, 10.

Mother has a newborn, and has secured housing. Mother needs help with living room furniture and a bed for herself and the baby. Currently the child is placed with her mother, and Mom is completing services before child can be in her home. Any help with this would help to be able to transition the child home.

Current CPS case open concerning Mother who had substance exposed child. Child is currently placed with Grandmother, and Father has filed for custody. Father wants to be able to pick up child for visitation but needs a car seat for the infant along with a crib for his home. Any thing to help out would be appreciated. Thanks

Please help us to meet the need for a powered mower. We have an adult son thriving in our recovery community who provides care for his aging mother. He is reestablishing a life in sobriety and she is on a fixed income, so their resources are limited. They're currently unable to mow her lawn. Thank you blessing this family!

2 senior individuals with disabilities were placed in protective custody due to living conditions exploitation sexual and physical abuse. We are asking for help with community resources that may be able to assist these 2 elderly disabled individuals with mentorship, gift cards for local fastfood due to where they were placed they only have access to a microwave. Any financial assistance would greatly be appreciated to ensure securement of their room at motel until further placement arrangements can be made. What we are needing is..

2. Resources for food,clothing,mentorship transportation,housing
3. fast food gift cards so these 2 individuals can have at least 1 hot meal.

We are in urgent need of funding to purchase two mattresses (we highly recommend with waterproof covers) for a foster family who is working to get siblings placed in their home. As part of the placement transition, they will be hosting the children for some overnight visits soon and they have worked to purchase beds for their home. As a result, they are asking for help in purchasing the mattresses to put on the beds due to the sudden financial strain. These kids will be looking to make this home a permanent placement, so these items would be for use long into the future. Mom is in need of two window air conditioner units for her apartment. Currently, the children are not able to sleep in their rooms because of the temperature (either too hot in the summer or no heat in the winter). Mom also needs a twin size mattress for a bedframe that she has for her daughter.
