We have the most lovely foster parents that continue to amaze us by stepping up to help whenever they can! They currently have a full house! They recently took placement of 3 teenage girls, and they are awaiting another teen within the next few weeks! They are short on storage and making accommodations so everyone has space and they don’t have to then anyone away, they are looking for a long dresser and a chest of drawers to fit the spaces and make the kids comfortable!

The daughter just moved back into the home after running away on a constant basis for a few weeks due to not wanting to be home. These items will help boost their comfortability at and provide stronger quality of life within the residence.

This request is on behalf of a Hope Florida participant and his 9-year-old son. They do not have any means of transportation and are requesting help with obtaining a bus pass for a two-month period. They need help accessing public transportation for the dad to attend work and the boy to attend school. They are experiencing a challenging situation as they are homeless. They are living from home to home from one temporary residence to another making it impossible to maintain a stable daily routine. The bus pass will help them maintain a daily routine by attending work and school. Dad is very committed to his employment and the son is enrolled in school. Given these circumstances, they are truly in need of your help with a solution for their transportation needs. This support will be an essential step toward helping them regain stability in their challenging times. The bus pass costs $112.50 for the month. The total costs for two people for 2 months, adds to a total of $450. Your support will be a lifeline to this family. Thank you for your consideration.

A mother of a small child is in need of help paying her electric bill. The mother works full time hours, but her partner is out of work for a while which leaves all of the finances up to her. She is struggling to make ends meet without the additional income and could use some support. The mom does not have a car and is unable to get a second job at this time. She has worked really hard to get where she is today. This additional support would relieve a lot of stress for the family.

I have a single mother of 3 who is needing assistance finding boy size 10-12 khaki school pants (possibly 2 pairs) for an alternative school for her 10-year-old son who is currently struggling with behavioral issues that we are trying to address. This mother has looked around at local thrift stores with no luck finding the pants. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Please consider helping a single mom and her 2 year old daughter here in our Scottsville community. They are in need of a refrigerator as theirs went out and now they do not have one. This would help them keep cold food instead of just shelf food for meals. This single mom works multiple jobs including an in-home bakery. Appliances are very expensive and finances are tight for her. Not only would this help with their food but it would also help her continue her business and the flow of income.

We have contacted Doug's Maytag in Scottsville and they have a new Amana for $667 or a new Whirlpool for $754. There is a $79 delivery fee and they will remove and dispose of the old one for her.

Please help us to meet the need for a powered mower. We have an adult son thriving in our recovery community who provides care for his aging mother. He is reestablishing a life in sobriety and she is on a fixed income, so their resources are limited. They're currently unable to mow her lawn. Thank you blessing this family!

2 senior individuals with disabilities were placed in protective custody due to living conditions exploitation sexual and physical abuse. We are asking for help with community resources that may be able to assist these 2 elderly disabled individuals with mentorship, gift cards for local fastfood due to where they were placed they only have access to a microwave. Any financial assistance would greatly be appreciated to ensure securement of their room at motel until further placement arrangements can be made. What we are needing is..

1. Financial assistance for motel for approx. 1 month and transportation
2. Resources for food,clothing,mentorship transportation,housing
3. fast food gift cards so these 2 individuals can have at least 1 hot meal.

We are in urgent need of funding to purchase two mattresses (we highly recommend with waterproof covers) for a foster family who is working to get siblings placed in their home. As part of the placement transition, they will be hosting the children for some overnight visits soon and they have worked to purchase beds for their home. As a result, they are asking for help in purchasing the mattresses to put on the beds due to the sudden financial strain. These kids will be looking to make this home a permanent placement, so these items would be for use long into the future. Mom is in need of two window air conditioner units for her apartment. Currently, the children are not able to sleep in their rooms because of the temperature (either too hot in the summer or no heat in the winter). Mom also needs a twin size mattress for a bedframe that she has for her daughter.
