We are reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to ask for your support for three young children—a 4-year-old girl, a 7-year-old boy, and an 11-year-old boy— these children were placed immediately into foster placement together with almost nothing but the clothing they were wearing and a couple of personal items. These children are facing an overwhelming time of change and uncertainty and we want to surround them with support, comfort, and a sense of security. We are asking for gift cards, donations of new or gently used clothing, shoes, and new undergarments, as well as any small comfort items like books, stuffed animals, or blankets. Meeting these basic needs will allow their foster parent to focus on more on building rapport, relationship, and meeting their individualized needs. This request is to assist a child with getting a cell phone. She would like to communicate with her family and be in contact with important team members as well. This will help her maintain contact with her therapist as well as her brother.

The mother of a 11 year old boy is in need of hygiene items and clothing while she is in inpatient. The mother had to go from living in her car, to detox and then to the inpatient facility without being let out into the community to gather clothing and hygiene items to take with her to inpatient. She went there with very little clothing. She was able to get some clothing from a donation box but not much and only what she could find in her size. She is able to order things on line and have them delivered to the facility. A gift card to Amazon or Walmart would be helpful so that she is able to pick out what she needs and to get it delivered. She doesn't have many supports that are able to get her clothing and other items while she is there. This would give her a chance to have good clothing in and out of inpatient. It allows her to be more confident and have a jump start to her basic needs once she has completed inpatient treatment. She plans on getting a job once she has completed the program and with a gift card she could get appropriate clothing for working now with the gracious generosity of others and not having to find money for clothing before receiving an income from employment.

Hello, I am working with a paternal aunt, who has been placement for her nephew for the last year. The child is 4 years old and is in need of some summer clothes, new shoes and some additional help with groceries. This aunt is the permanent option and aunt is pursuing becoming the legal guardian and anything to help out this family would be greatly appreciated just to help them keep their head above water with the additional costs of opening their door to this kiddo who was in need.

A loving family of five recently opened their home to care for their young nephew, who needed a safe and stable place to stay. With limited space, the family’s two boys are currently sharing a queen bed. A bunk bed would give each child their own sleeping space, making this transition more comfortable and helping both boys rest better. Your support would directly support this generous family and create a more peaceful environment for the children to grow and thrive.

Mother expecting 2nd child on 5/23. This child’s father is not involved, although has support from 1st child FOB. Both unemployed and without finances to put towards listed items. This mother was recently enrolled in our program for her 2nd child, although we did have her 5 years ago when her 1st child was born. Since our initial enrollment, this mother has shown much growth in her recovery and mental health. We have provided other resources in the community, although family has not been successful in obtaining these items. Any assistance available would be beneficial to this family- thank you!

Mom recently had emergency gallbladder surgery and has been unable to work the last couple of weeks. She is currently residing in a sober living facility receiving treatment and attend the Fresh Hope program in hopes of reunited with her children. Grandma is watching the children while mom does the hard work of recovery.

Due to mom's gallbladder surgery she is behind on her sober living facility rent and needs to catch up. She needs to pay two weeks rent to catch up and get back on her feet. Please help this mom who is doing the work to reunite with her family.

Please consider helping a single mom and her 2 year old daughter here in our Scottsville community. They are in need of a refrigerator as theirs went out and now they do not have one. This would help them keep cold food instead of just shelf food for meals. This single mom works multiple jobs including an in-home bakery. Appliances are very expensive and finances are tight for her. Not only would this help with their food but it would also help her continue her business and the flow of income.

We have contacted Doug's Maytag in Scottsville and they have a new Amana for $667 or a new Whirlpool for $754. There is a $79 delivery fee and they will remove and dispose of the old one for her.

2 senior individuals with disabilities were placed in protective custody due to living conditions exploitation sexual and physical abuse. We are asking for help with community resources that may be able to assist these 2 elderly disabled individuals with mentorship, gift cards for local fastfood due to where they were placed they only have access to a microwave. Any financial assistance would greatly be appreciated to ensure securement of their room at motel until further placement arrangements can be made. What we are needing is..
