A resilient single mother of one who was displaced by the recent LA fires is in urgent need of assistance. She lost both her home and job due to the devastation, and during this season of loss, she had to rely heavily on credit to meet basic needs for herself and her child. With the support of extended family, she has worked hard to get back on her feet securing a new job and recently moving into her own apartment. However, the weight of credit card debt from that difficult period still lingers. She has faithfully paid most of it down, but she is $720 short of fully catching up. This remaining balance is preventing her from fully stabilizing and reestablishing financial independence. Paying off this debt would immediately relieve a heavy burden and allow her to focus on caring for her child and maintaining the progress she’s made.

A family of six was tragically displaced during the Eaton Fire and has been living in survival mode ever since couch surfing, sleeping in their vehicle, and struggling to find stability. With no renters insurance and no support received through FEMA or other agencies, they have lost everything. They are currently staying in a temporary shelter that will eventually assist them with subsidized housing, but in the meantime, they are in urgent need of support. Needs include:Clothing and shoes for all children, Hygiene essentials, Grocery gift cards, Gas cards to help the parents attend school and medical appointments The family was recently connected to Greater Shiloh Church, who is committed to walking alongside them and providing ongoing relational and tangible support. Any help provided through this request will go a long way in helping them stay together and regain a sense of hope and stability.

Mother is a domestic violence survivor. Father would hit mother away and in the presence of the child. Mother was able to leave the relationship and now has a full-time job and a 2-bedroom apartment now for herself and the baby. Mother’s income goes to maintaining the apartment and caring for her son. Mother does not receive child support or anything from the father. Mother’s refrigerator leaks and the door comes open and she has lost a lot of food.

TCR pre-funded request - A single dad has been living with his parents and his two kids. Because of having trouble securing job because his car burned with their house, he is having trouble securing housing. He is currently staying between hotels and shelters allowing his kids to stay with their grandparents in their temporary housing. He is needing to secure a car again to be able to get a job, and eventually a place to stay that could support him and his kids together. He is struggling in the domino effect of the fires that has caused him to lose everything. I'm advocating for $3,000 to secure some housing for him as well as some clothing and Uber costs for job interviews. He is looking for any kind of car and hopeful he can get one so transportation can be secured for work. He is eager to be able to get back to work to care for his kids again.

The family is in need of a washer and dryer. The relative caregiver reported that it is challenging to use a laundromat, as the child has difficulty self-regulating in public setting and is easily overstimulated. Additionally, the caregiver must provide a high level of direct supervision and frequent redirection to the child. The caregiver is the sole provider for the family and has been focused on meeting the child’s basic needs such as food and shelter. She shared that purchasing a washer and dryer would create a significant financial strain.

Mother expecting 2nd child on 5/23. This child’s father is not involved, although has support from 1st child FOB. Both unemployed and without finances to put towards listed items. This mother was recently enrolled in our program for her 2nd child, although we did have her 5 years ago when her 1st child was born. Since our initial enrollment, this mother has shown much growth in her recovery and mental health. We have provided other resources in the community, although family has not been successful in obtaining these items. Any assistance available would be beneficial to this family- thank you!

Mom recently had emergency gallbladder surgery and has been unable to work the last couple of weeks. She is currently residing in a sober living facility receiving treatment and attend the Fresh Hope program in hopes of reunited with her children. Grandma is watching the children while mom does the hard work of recovery.

Due to mom's gallbladder surgery she is behind on her sober living facility rent and needs to catch up. She needs to pay two weeks rent to catch up and get back on her feet. Please help this mom who is doing the work to reunite with her family.

Please consider helping a single mom and her 2 year old daughter here in our Scottsville community. They are in need of a refrigerator as theirs went out and now they do not have one. This would help them keep cold food instead of just shelf food for meals. This single mom works multiple jobs including an in-home bakery. Appliances are very expensive and finances are tight for her. Not only would this help with their food but it would also help her continue her business and the flow of income.

We have contacted Doug's Maytag in Scottsville and they have a new Amana for $667 or a new Whirlpool for $754. There is a $79 delivery fee and they will remove and dispose of the old one for her.

2 senior individuals with disabilities were placed in protective custody due to living conditions exploitation sexual and physical abuse. We are asking for help with community resources that may be able to assist these 2 elderly disabled individuals with mentorship, gift cards for local fastfood due to where they were placed they only have access to a microwave. Any financial assistance would greatly be appreciated to ensure securement of their room at motel until further placement arrangements can be made. What we are needing is..

1. Financial assistance for motel for approx. 1 month and transportation
2. Resources for food,clothing,mentorship transportation,housing
3. fast food gift cards so these 2 individuals can have at least 1 hot meal.
