We're requesting support for a young mom and her son who attend Grace's Table. This young family faces overwhelming barriers as the four-year-old son has a significant developmental disability and the family does not have meaningful support in the area. Recently, their vehicle broke down. As her son needs to attend routine doctor visits among other daily tasks, the need for support is critical. The mom took her car to two different mechanics for estimates and is working odd jobs to try to cover the expense. As transportation is vital to their well being, we are asking for your support to get their vehicle repaired and back on the road. She is able to provide an estimate for the repairs for your review.

A young couple is seeking important baby items as they prepare for the birth of their second child this summer. They are newly settled in the state, and most of their family and support live outside of the country. Though they are excited for this next season with their growing family, they are struggling to collect larger baby items. This mom is not working currently as she stays home with their two-year-old son, and her husband is their primary source of income. She has been very intentional in establishing her regular doctor’s care through this pregnancy and is also actively exploring what supports are available for their growing family. We would love to help to set them up before the birth of their child, so that they can confidently focus on the immediate needs of their two young children. They specifically need a car seat and stroller combination as well as a bassinet. These items would afford them the peace of mind of knowing they can leave the hospital after birth and set their little one up with a comfortable space at home. Good evening, we have a high school student that is not able to focus in school due to the family struggle. The mother lost her job during the Wild Fires and is not working. She is the sole provider since the father is very sick and not doing well. This family is very concerned about becoming homeless, they are working on getting assistance but at this time they are on a very long waiting list for services. Hello, I am working with one of our school families with and elementary student and a middle school student. I was informed that due to the struggle of finding steady employment after the Wild Fires, they are struggling with rent funds to avoid getting evited. They do not have food or gas money to take children to school. The single parent is searching for work to get back on track. Friends have been donating food for this family but their fridge has stopped working and they don't have any where to keep milk and other items that need to be kept in the fridge. We would like to help this family as they work on getting back on their feet. Thank you in advance, God Bless you for helping those in need.

Mother and dad of newborn have been living in their car for 14 months. Baby is now 2 months old. They both work and pay car payments but cannot afford to get established in an apartment or home. Baby is growing and they are in desperate need to have a different living situation for their family. They have been sleeping in a classroom on the floor of our church 3 nights a week, for this past month and the church cannot sustain this arrangement indefinitely. They are very polite, hardworking, clean and cooperative. We have prayed about this and believe a camper would be the best goal for them at this time. They can afford an RV park with utilities and start to get a lead on a permanent residence.

We are seeking urgent support for a family with two children at risk of losing stable housing. The family is currently facing eviction, with a balance of $3,587 due. If the balance is paid before the court date, they will be allowed to remain in their home. The mother is actively working side jobs and may be able to contribute a portion of the amount.

This support request is focused on preserving housing stability for the children, ensuring they are not displaced and can remain in a safe, familiar environment. Assistance toward this housing need would directly prevent trauma and disruption in their lives.

Please consider helping keep this family together and housed.

Again, we are out of beds with the other recent arrivals and the funds that were normally given to the refugee resettlement agencies being stopped. For these two families again, we need beds (always) and another coffee table.

Glocal has already provided through community donations other furniture that they needed along with household goods. always feel free to inquire more about our programs .

Although it may seem unlikely, we are still seeing families arrive through the refugee process. They come with basically nothing and through Glocal, we provide them new and gently used items donated through the community to help them get started in their first home in the Treasure Valley. We have one large Afghan family of 9 that we have in temporary housing and will move into two apartments in the near future. We are short beds and tables for several families. this request is for the larger family that arrived a few weeks ago. To keep things less costly, they will need to put several children in one room and bunk beds will help. they also could use some coffee tables and end tables. Glocal has been able to provide them with their other needs through earlier donations.
