This young mother is making it despite extreme challenges in her own upbringing. She did much to raise her siblings and drive everyone towards safety and success. She used her voice multiple times until aid came to help save her sisters and herself from abuse withing the bio family. This single mom is now 21 years old and pregnant with her second child. She works part time jobs when she can and relies on the support of her chosen family network. One beautiful thing about her is that she readily embraces positive supports. She’s pointed out that chosen family/friend networks/strangers have done more to help than the adults in her own family (paternal and maternal sides). As her victim advocate, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing her continue to be smart, resourceful, and hopeful over many years. She doesn’t often reach out for needs so when she does, I know she’s in need and embarrassed to ask. She would greatly benefit from the financial assistance of paying a phone bill ($98.00 due June 12, 2025). Additionally, she would very likely embrace invitations to build her community.

A wonderful local woman lost her home she was renting in the Eaton Fire. She has been sleeping and living out of her car since the fires with sporadic stays in hotels whenever she's able to save up enough money. She is working on finding housing but has a very immediate need of assistance for a stay in a hotel so she is able to bathe, have a few nights of good and safe sleep, and be able to go to a laundry mat and clean the clothing that she has. I'm advocating for $1,000 to help her in this season until she is able to find a long term solution.

Family of (4) needs immediate assistance with food. Father works. Mother stays home with their newborn and toddler. Since the father has the vehicle, mother is unable to get to the food kitchen. She gets her stamps on the 11th, but is currently out of food. Could anyone assist with the following items?

Chicken, hamburger, 1% milk, cereal, cheese, bread, eggs, juice, and purified water bottles.

We have a child and a mother who are in need of a hotel or a place to stay for a few days. They’ll have nowhere to go as of 6/3/25 with little to no funds to work with. This family is on the cusp of reunification and could use some heroic support. Please help this family be safe and supported during this difficult time.

Hope Pregnancy Center is a faith-based, pro-life organization existing to help young men and women who face unplanned pregnancies. There are a lot of really sweet parts of our ministry, but one of the sweetest things we get to offer is free photo shoots for the families who come through our program.

These photoshoots are entirely volunteer based, and we are in need of some more professional photographers willing to donate their time and skills.

Interested photographers are welcome to donate as much or as little time as they would like. Some photographers come in once a week, some once a month. Typically, we ask that each time photographers come in they stay for at least one hour. We are incredibly flexible, however, with our volunteer photographers. We understand that they are individuals donating their professional skills, and we can work with their differing availabilities.

This family is in urgent need of assistance as they face homelessness, although we are fortunate to have secured temporary housing help. However, they are in desperate need of adequate clothing, as they currently have only 1-2 pairs of clothes between them. As well as groceries for the family. We’ve come across a heartfelt situation involving a family that has graciously welcomed a 17-year-old boy into their home. This young man, who tragically lost his mother last year, has no family to care for him, and it was his kind classmate who opened their door to him. However, living in a small two-bedroom house has brought additional challenges for everyone involved. The family is currently facing financial difficulties, struggling to make ends meet, with groceries running low and falling behind on this month’s rent by $300. We’re reaching out to the community to kindly ask for support to help this family navigate this tough time. Your generosity could make a significant difference in their lives. The family has just welcomed a new infant in their home and a 17 year old boy.

A woman in Grace Church is caring for her wheel chair bound mother and needs a ramp built. She will provide funds for the ramp, just needs the building work done. As soon as possible would be greatly appreciated.

Urgent need for a refrigerator! Harpeth Hills Church of Christ has been assisting a struggling family, and their refrigerator suddenly stopped working. The husband has stage 4 cancer and is unable to provide for the family.

A courageous mother from Peru came to the United States a few years ago seeking a better life for herself and her three children, who are currently being cared for by her mother back home. Since arriving, she has faced some difficult challenges. As a survivor of domestic abuse, she found safety and support in a women’s shelter, where she stayed with her infant son.

She first started attending Mesa Church over a year and a half ago, initially connecting through the women’s group, where she found community and support. Since then, she has placed her faith in Jesus and was baptized in February, opening her heart to healing and new beginnings.

Now, with hope in her heart, she dreams of starting her own baking business to support her children and build a brighter future. She is moving into a new apartment this weekend with her 19-month-old son (wears size 6 diapers) and is in need of furniture and essential household items.
