I want to share an opportunity to support a wonderful family that has stepped up to care for their Great Niece through a kinship placement. Despite facing financial challenges, they are doing their best to meet the needs of all the children in their care. The caregiver—our foster parent and the child’s Great Aunt—is currently caring for her three grandchildren in addition to my kiddo, who has some behavioral needs stemming from significant past trauma. She is the only family member who was willing and able to welcome the child into her home. Unfortunately, due to complications from diabetes, she is experiencing declining eyesight and is no longer able to drive. Additionally, she is currently receiving unemployment benefits due to her health limitations.

This family has shown immense compassion and commitment, and any assistance or resources we can provide would go a long way in supporting their stability and the wellbeing of the children.

The family is facing eviction and they are trying to raise money. They reported if they do not pay by 5/19/2025 they will be forcefully evicted on 5/24/25. My kiddo has been homeless and has moved around alot in her short life. I don't want to add to her trauma by moving her from her family and placing her with people she does not know.

We are currently working with a family that consists of two adults, and three children(7, 5, and 6 months old). This family is currently struggling with putting food on the table due to multiple factors including lack of transportation and lack of income. They have been mainly reliant on local food pantries. They are in need of food and formula, Similac Sensitive formula with iron, while they work on getting their TA case set up.

single dad with two children. one who has autism and frequently elopes. in their backyard part of their fence has come down by a large cliff. family does not have the financial means to fix the fence but the lapse of fence in the area it is in is a huge safety concern.

We are reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart on behalf of a courageous single mother who is facing overwhelming challenges while caring for her four children. One of her children is experiencing significant mental health struggles, requiring her full-time care and attention. Because of this, the mother is unable to work outside the home and is doing her best to meet her family's needs with very limited resources. This mother’s love and dedication are unwavering, but the weight of her situation has become too much to carry alone. We are seeking support to help this family with some basic but essential needs:A twin-over-twin bunk bed to provide two of the children with a safe and comfortable place to sleep, the mother currently has two twin mattresses. Neutral-colored bedding is calming, practical, and easy to maintain. A twin bed for her daughter, who needs her own space to rest and grow. Help with groceries to ensure that this mother can feed her children healthy meals during this difficult season, as well as a mattress. Meeting these needs would bring comfort and stability to a home that is doing its very best under incredibly trying circumstances. It would also show this mother that she is not alone that there is a community of people who care and are willing to walk alongside her family. We are currently working with a family that is in need of a dumpster hall off as there is an accumulation of trash bags of trash and other items throughout the home due to the mother becoming unable to pay for trash service. Extermination services are also needed due to there being a large amount of roaches and gnats throughout the home. There are two children in the home and one of the children has medical issues. The mother is doing the best she can but has a limited support.

We are seeking urgent support for a family with two children at risk of losing stable housing. The family is currently facing eviction, with a balance of $3,587 due. If the balance is paid before the court date, they will be allowed to remain in their home. The mother is actively working side jobs and may be able to contribute a portion of the amount.

This support request is focused on preserving housing stability for the children, ensuring they are not displaced and can remain in a safe, familiar environment. Assistance toward this housing need would directly prevent trauma and disruption in their lives.

Please consider helping keep this family together and housed.

Again, we are out of beds with the other recent arrivals and the funds that were normally given to the refugee resettlement agencies being stopped. For these two families again, we need beds (always) and another coffee table.

Glocal has already provided through community donations other furniture that they needed along with household goods. always feel free to inquire more about our programs .

Although it may seem unlikely, we are still seeing families arrive through the refugee process. They come with basically nothing and through Glocal, we provide them new and gently used items donated through the community to help them get started in their first home in the Treasure Valley. We have one large Afghan family of 9 that we have in temporary housing and will move into two apartments in the near future. We are short beds and tables for several families. this request is for the larger family that arrived a few weeks ago. To keep things less costly, they will need to put several children in one room and bunk beds will help. they also could use some coffee tables and end tables. Glocal has been able to provide them with their other needs through earlier donations.

A family has contacted our church in need of help to pay their rent for $1,100. We were able to provide $500 from our church. They are still in need of $600.00 to keep from being evicted. This is a single mother with a teen son and younger daughter. the mother has been sick for a few weeks and was short on her rent. She has also been helping her sister with a serious medical condition. Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to provide this family.
