16 year old teen girl is placed in a foster home in Wichita long term. However her aunt is in KC and is an ongoing support. She will be providing a week long respite while the foster home is out of town, but is limited on her income and has two other children of her own. She is needing support with groceries for the week while the foster child (her niece) is with her. Gift cards for Walmart, target, or other grocery stores are accepted or payment for groceries.

Grandmother has worked so hard to care for her four grandchildren. She has created stability and normalcy so these children can thrive. Helping her pay her utility bill will help encourage her work. Thank you!

We have a caregiver with his own teenage children accepted 5 children into his home (ages range 6-12), to prevent this from being separated and entering into foster care. The caregiver has 3 bedroom and 4 of the children are currently sleeping on the floor in the living room. I'm requesting 5 large twin size beds with (rales, box spring, pillows mattress and comforter sets-4 boys and 1 girl). The caregiver did not ask for help, but I'm also asking for gift cards for groceries to help supplement this single father (now 7 children), until he's licensed as a level 1 caregiver. The young adult is doing her best to provide a safe nurturing environment for their little one. The young adult is caring for a child under the age of 2 and the child needs size 5 diapers and wipes. Would you consider stepping in to meet this need? A simple gift of diapers and wipes can ease a real burden and remind this young adult that are seen and supported. Your response sends a powerful message: You are not alone and your community cares.

A foster child is staying in a motel with her grandmother, and they need gift cards for meals/food. The grandmother does not have transportation, so they stay close to motel or utilize the bus.

Grace Chruch Family, a need in the community has come to our attention that we would like to help with. A mom needs help with an electric bill. She has 3 children ages 6, 2, and 5 months. The baby was born early and this has caused her to get behind on several bills. Thank you for any amount you feel led to fund.

A family with a child with special needs (seizure disorder and autism) is seeking assistance for a small portable air conditioner. Initially mom thought that the landlord got this fixed but as the days get hotter the a/c cannot keep up. The child’s seizures worsen with heat and the mom is about to undergo a surgery. Does anyone have a used portable a/c that can be donated? Or can you find it in your heart to donate to this cause?

Single mother (who Emmaus members have been walking alongside) escaping domestic violence from husband along with two kids under the age of 7 years. She is starting over from scratch as they left the house with nothing and has no extended family support. She would like to have a car which would provide transportation so she can get a job so that she can get into housing. We are hoping to provide $3,000 towards a vehicle.
